  • Mercent-CommerceHub Salesforce Merge

CommerceHub acquired Mercent January 8, 2015. As a part of the merger process, we had to merge our Salesforce (SFDC) instances. Mercent’s Salesforce data had to be migrated to CommerceHub’s instance of Salesforce. I served as the Mercent-side team lead. We migrated a subset of the data from Mercent’s Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Leads, and Applications. We also backed up data not intended to survive the merge in case we needed to recover any records not transferred. This project and the…

This project and the associated planning took about two months during which time I contributed to daily check-in and project planning calls. Additionally, I advanced this project by:

    • Analyzed Apps, Roles, Profiles, and Page Layouts from the Mercent SFDC instance and how those could be included in the merged instance
    • Used FieldTrip app to analyze and select fields and values from the Mercent SFDC instance to migrate into new combined SFDC instance
    • Selected and prepared records and reports to migrate from Mercent SFDC into the new combined SFDC instance
    • Planned account merge and duplicate reconciliation
    • Reinstalled connected apps: Pardot, TaskRay and FormAssembly

  • Pardot B2B Marketing Automation

I am constantly trying to improve marketing automation and the sales process at Mercent. We needed a more efficient way to gather and track leads coming from our site. Additionally, I recognized the benefit of automated drip email campaigns and wanted to incorporate drip campaigns into our lead generation efforts. Therefore, I started researching solutions. After thoroughly vetting solutions including Marketo, ActOn, and Pardot, I recommended Pardot. Once granted approval, I moved forward with…

Once granted approval, I moved forward with the contract negotiation and signed an agreement with Pardot. Then, in cooperation with Pardot support and my colleague, Alan Brozovich, we executed the implementation:

    • Implemented tracking code to gather info on site visitors
    • Imported customer and prospect lists
    • Connected Pardot to Salesforce to auto-create and sync leads across platforms
    • Set up web forms and landing pages to capture inquiries and manage subscription preferences
    • Set up lead scoring
    • Executed sales qualified drip marketing campaigns

  • Automating Inbound Lead Process for AdReady-ESPN Partnership

At AdReady, we handle ESPN's inbound SMB leads from their Customer Marketing and Sales (CMS) page. When I joined the AdReady Partner Team, we had an email alias set up to receive the leads, but no other tracking or automation. At AdReady, we handle ESPN's inbound SMB leads from their Customer Marketing and Sales (CMS) page. When I joined the AdReady Partner Team, we had an email alias set up to receive the leads, but no other tracking or automation. I saw an opportunity to integrate the ESPN CMS web form with AdReady's Salesforce instance for greater automation and tracking. We accomplished this integration by:

    • Generate a web-to-lead form in SFDC that provides some Javascript to be implemented on the back end of the web form which in turn writes the info captured on the web form to Salesforce
    • Work with ESPN Partner management team to get approval to set up web-to-lead capture for AdReady Salesforce
    • Work with ESPN IT team to implement the web-to-lead form tracking redirect on the CMS page
    • QA the form and Salesforce connectivity functionality
    • Once the Salesforce web-to-lead functionality was implemented, set up auto-email response to make initial contact with ESPN leads
    • Overhauled/automated lead funnel led to a 13% increase in close rate MoM
