I don't usually share these, but here's a website transformation. I revamped the main website banner for a North Carolina home service client. They built their website themselves using WordPress, but didn't feel confident in the design they chose. So this is what I did. 1. Chose a new design 2. Updated the Value proposition 3. Added more white space 4. Highlighted their wonderful projects. The client was happy with the new layout. Our next step now is to help them streamline their online marketing in a way that fits their business. My next post will get into my process for them.

10 steps to generate your own leads before the FCC clamps down on 3rd party lead gen as we know it: 1. Targeted traffic sources: test as many as you can 2. Build top notch, relevant landing pages with built-in long forms 3. Optimized "Next Steps" pages 👊 Bill Rice 4. Retarget those who convert (and those who don't) 5. I've gotten really good & efficient at building high converting Wordpress Elementor websites. Truthfully, it's one of my favorite things to do these days. But...I really dislike the potential for theme conflicts, mindfulness needed when updating plugins, and overall security/performance risks for this combination. I don't want to jump ship to a new ecosystem if I don't have to, but Webflow is looking more and more compelling by the day. For those who have used and are knowledgeable on both, what's your preference and why?

🚩 Who owns the right to your website if you part ways with your developer? I've heard this story before: — Client hired an "affordable" website building company/service. — After initial payment, customer service starts to suffer and changes/updates aren't made. — Client decides they want out. — Company holds their website hostage. — Client has to pay for an entirely new website to be built. Make sure whatever contract you sign that YOU retain the rights to the service you are paying for, and don't let your site get held hostage.

It’s crazy how much a simple digital form can improve a process/system. Use forms for things like: - Post call dispositions/CRM notes - Submitting a scenario to a “help desk” - Triggering workflows between departments Use a form builder that supports Zapier integrations (like Google Forms even), and you can use those forms to trigger automated emails, CRM changes, spreadsheet updates, and more. Here's how I prompted ChatGPT to help with my website copy for impactdrivenai.com. First, I have all the info I'll need to share in a Google doc. Who is my audience? Who is the right fit to work with me? What is the main problem I solve? What makes me different than someone else? What are my offers? Next, I start prompting for ONE page at a time. For example, the about page. For that I say: "I want you to write my about page copy for my website. I'm going to give you information about myself and my business, and I want you to write the about page in a way that tells the story of who I am, who I help (and how I help them) and what makes me different than anyone else doing something similar. By the end of the about page, I want them to either feel so connected with me that they get on my email list, or are so repelled y me that they leave and find someone else to work with." Once the about page is done, then I work on the "services" page. For that page, I say: "I want you to write my services page. I'm going to tell you about my offers, my business, and I want you to write the services page in a way that readers walk away knowing exactly what I offer, how it'll help them, and which service is best for them.
