I pitched obsessively for 2 years. Here are my 2 cents about pitching. As a newbie, you're unaware of how your prospect thinks. Which is why, it's hard to write a pitch for them. I know it's not as easy as everyone makes it. So let me break it down a bit. 🌳If its a freelancing website: – Read the job posting at least thrice. – Scrape whatever information of the job poster you can. – Sometimes their names are visible, USE THEM. – Talk about why you're interested in the project briefly. 🌳If you're not on a freelancing website. – Research your prospects inside out. – Find the KPIs they use to measure success. Use them in your pitch. – Tell them an error they're making in their profile/website. Tell how you'd correct it. Be suggestive about it. Don't hurt their pride. 🌳Remember to: – Keep it as short as possible – Be confident – Follow up – Google some templates for ideas, but don't copy them! 📌PS. What would you add to the list? #freelancing #pitching #branding

If you want to land the right clients, you need to do these👇. Landing the right client is the major problem most freelancers have. Difficulty in doing so makes you question your abilities. Dear Freelancers, The fact that you have not been able to get the right client is not due to your lack of expertise. You are great at what you do so that is not it. On the contrary, it is due to your inability to build confidence with your ideal clients and your inability to build authority with your target audience. Are you ready to land clients back to back in July? Then be ready to build confidence. When you approach a prospective client, show them you know what you are about. Let it reflect in your offer, and in your interview. Also, let your target audience know you are an authority in that niche with the right kind of content. You can't be a content writer and you are always sharing Content on hair making. I mean, nobody will take you seriously. You will do more than fine if you follow these tips. Do you agree❓ Happy new month Fam! ---------------------------- I am Eseohe, I write the best SEO-targeted content for your website. RESULT: More traffic➡️ More Leads⬅️ Mores sales. As the owner of a boutique editing agency serving SMBs and mission-driven organizations, I'm always looking for ways to enhance our online presence. At #ACESVCON24, I attended a fantastic session on leveraging LinkedIn with Anna Kendall and Emily Redington, and I'd love to share some key takeaways with my fellow editors and small business owners. ✍🏻 Craft a Compelling Profile - Your headline is crucial. Make it a concise description of who you are and what you do. - In the About section, focus on the "why" of working with you. Use keywords naturally and space out your text for readability. - Complete your profile fully – it leads to 8x more views! 🏆 Showcase Your Expertise - Use the Experience section to prove what you say in your About section. - List relevant skills and assign them to specific experiences. - Don't forget to highlight your unique specialties and certifications. 🤝🏻 Build Meaningful Connections - Aim for 500+ connections to rank higher and appear established. - Be strategic: connect with people in your industry, professional organizations, and potential clients. - When reaching out, include a personal note explaining why you'd like to connect. 📊 Create Engaging Content - Share valuable information – it has a longer shelf life on LinkedIn. - Post at optimal times (try 11 am local time) and engage with comments, especially in the first hour. - Use images or videos to attract more viewers. 🛠 Utilize LinkedIn Features - Join and participate in LinkedIn groups related to editing and your target industries. - If you're open to new opportunities, use the "Open to Work" feature. - For freelancers, use your own logo or the "Self Employed" option for a professional look. 🎯 Stand Out to Recruiters and Clients - Use specific, industry-relevant keywords throughout your profile. - Highlight your proudest achievements and ongoing professional development. - Address any career gaps positively, mentioning relevant experiences or training.
