Microsoft Practice Lead, where we specialise in data driven transformational CRM journeys.

As far as events go, this venue was right up there! An insightful day spent with the Microsoft BizApps partner community hosted by Arrow ECS EMEA and Oaka Studio for the Sales Blue Print Workshop, in the rather swanky Randolph Hotel in Oxford. Incredibly useful content discussed, such as; 📢Creating the perfect go-to-market strategy (we did ours a while back and revisit often to check we are on track) 📢 What makes a great pre-sales consultant (I would be lost without mine as they are seriously top-class) 📢 Account Management done brilliantly and the importance of robust Account Plans (taking time to know and grow your client base) Thank you Chris Stewart-Smith Tamara Phelan Lucy Bourne Lee Baker Nigel Ridpath, always great to hang out with this support network. #Bizapps #Partnerecosystem #Dynamics365 Salocin Group Edit

Christmas has arrived at Salocin Group, celebrating Save the Children UK's official #ChristmasJumperDay 🎄🎁🎅 In true hybrid working fashion, we had people joining a (harder than we thought) festive quiz from the Bath office and at home, hosted by Matt Wills. Stuart Fenlon was our worthy quiz winner, closely followed by Eddie Golby as runner up 👏🏆 Matthew Cann and Harriet Sanderson were declared our Christmas Jumper Day winners for their efforts, with jingly elf and Star Wars themed jumpers (with extra festive bells and whistles too!) 🧝 How are your teams celebrating #XmasJumperDay? ✨

As an avid football player and supporter, our Head of Privacy Craig Carr is a huge fan of the benefits of all sports, but in particular what team sports give children, beyond the positive impact of going outside and getting active ⚽ He says being part of team, winning and losing together, builds camaraderie, confidence, resilience and a sense of community and teamwork, as well as providing the opportunity to socialise and have laugh with friends! 👫 In there being no coach available when Craig's son wanted to play football, he was the first to raise his hand to volunteer. Since then, he's coached AFC Corsham Tigers from U6s to U16s for the past decade, as well as coaching AFC Corsham Lionesses for six years 🐅🦁 "Volunteering to coach a children's sports team allows you to bond with your kids and their teammates, while instilling values like discipline, perseverance and sportsmanship, as well as watching your children grow in confidence and ability. It provides an opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives, while sharing in their victories and experiences." #VolunteersDay #UKCharityWeek 💜

This time last year, our Chief Growth Officer J Cromack's brother Simon was sadly diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumour, which is an incurable, highly aggressive cancer. Simon's family and friends immediately sprung into action and created the Give Simon Time fundraising campaign, to help extend Simon's life through immunotherapy treatment not available on the NHS, so he can see his teenage daughter fulfil her dream of playing rugby for England's Red Roses, whilst continuing to be the amazing husband, father, brother, son and friend he is. So far, this appeal has raised more than £230,000 from over 1,500 kind donations and some incredible fundraising efforts, including: 🚵 Ryan Thomas cycling the Pyrenees mountains coast-to-coast from Biarritz to Perpignan in under 100 hours 🏊 Nic Warrington swimming 10km per week in a month (equalling 500 laps of her local swimming pool each week) 🏃Tom Smith and Jez Callum completing half marathons Not to mention the pub and pizza nights, silent auctions, rugby club fundraisers and people giving up time to drive for hospital visits. All this starting from the love and will of five volunteers, to the national campaign it's now become, with coverage from BBC news and radio, and rugby celeb shout outs – The Rugby Pod, Andy Farrell and Mike Tindall. The good news is, although it's been a very difficult journey, Simon's treatment is having a positive impact and giving him more time, with his latest MRI scan showing the tumour stabilised. However, the fight is not yet over. This treatment is vital and expensive – reliant on your generous support. This #VolunteersDay, during #UKCharityWeek, please read Simon's story and see how you can help #GiveSimonTime. Donate, volunteer, fundraise – every contribution makes such a difference 🙏 https://lnkd.in/e_Wk3NWM

Last week, our Head of Data Strategy, Oliver Williams, attended the DataIQ 100 Summit, which delivered some interesting insights into the evolving data landscape. Here are his top three takeaways ⬇️ 1️⃣ Use data and the right tools to solve business problems While new technologies are exciting, the success stories shared at the event consistently highlighted the importance of focusing on solving business challenges data-first, with the correct tools. It’s not about using the latest model, but the right one. Practicality and applicability win over shiny new tools, every time. 2️⃣ Evolving role of the CDO Fewer organisations are recruiting Chief Data Officer roles, with data teams increasingly reporting to Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) or Chief AI Officers (CAIOs). This trend indicates a shift; data itself isn’t the sole asset, it’s how we apply it that drives value. 3️⃣ Data quality is non-negotiable The timeless adage, 'rubbish in, rubbish out', is more relevant than ever. Using Generative AI alongside traditional models means having accessible, structured and clean data is critical. Continuous monitoring and improvement are essential to harness the full potential of these technologies. The #DataIQ100 Summit was a great reminder that data strategy is about aligning tools, teams and processes to drive real impact. What do you think about these insights from the summit? Have you noticed similar shifts in your sector or organisation?
