Boeing will build an engineering center of excellence in Morocco. The Moroccan government and Boeing have signed a partnership agreement to create an African Center of Manufacturing Excellence (ACME), strengthening Morocco's growing aerospace sector through technology transfer. NTS TECHNICS, engineering partner, aims for Level 3 design certification and Boeing Approved Supplier status. ACME will be the first R&D center in Africa with the Boeing label. Consortium model to encourage innovation and advanced manufacturing. “Investing in Morocco’s future and establishing a strong aeronautical footprint for future generations is at the heart of this alliance,” said Ryad Mezzour. Emirates unveils its first Airbus #A350 aircraft.. In pictures #Emirates #Airlines officially unveiled the first #Airbus A350-900 aircraft to join its fleet during a special event in Dubai. The event was attended by Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airlines, a number of dignitaries and partners in the #aviation sector, senior government officials, and local, regional and international media. The Emirates A350 features a 3-class configuration, with spacious cabins that can accommodate 312 passengers, with the new #Business Class comprising 32 seats, Premium Economy Class 21 seats and Economy Class 259 seats, according to a press release published on the Emirates website. The latest products on board reflect the company's commitment to providing a distinguished experience while improving operational efficiency. The Emirates A350 is the first new aircraft type to join the Emirates fleet since 2008. HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group, said: “Today marks a milestone for Emirates as we showcase our first Airbus A350 and usher in a new era of growth for our fleet and network. Ryanair currently plans to increase its winter seat capacity by just over 8% when compared with last winter. But which airports will see the biggest increase in departing seats? AIR SERVICE ONE analysis of Cirium schedules data reveals that the winner is Brussels South Charleroi Airport (275k extra departing seats, 16% more than last winter), just beating Kraków Airport (273k, +25%). Then come Aena's Alicante, London Stansted Airport and Aeroporti di Roma's Fiumicino Airport. Among the top 15 airports for additional seat capacity, five are in Italy, three are in Spain and two are in the UK, with the remaining five airports all being in different countries. At the other end of the spectrum the airports with the biggest decrease in winter capacity are Aéroport de Bordeaux (304k fewer seats, down 100%), Warsaw-Modlin Airport (296k fewer seats, down 49%), Milan Bergamo Airport - SACBO S.p.A. (225k fewer seats, down 8%), Dublin Airport (212k fewer seats, down 6%) and Swedavia AB's Stockholm Arlanda Airport (133k fewer seats, down 22%).

Belgium Considers Banning Boeing 777s For Being Too Noisy Favoring A300s The Belgian federal government has revealed its intention to effectively ban the Boeing 777 at night at the country’s biggest airport, Brussels Zaventem. This particularly affects the airport’s largest cargo airline, DHL, which uses a variety of cargo aircraft for its operation. The Belgian Federal government instead prefers other aircraft that, in actual fact, include the much older Airbus A300, an aircraft that is generally considered louder and less efficient from an environmental standpoint. News bite | Morocco’s aerospace exports have already demonstrated impressive performance in the first half of 2024, reaching USD 1.3 billion, a 16.5 percent year-on-year increase.  In a recent interview with Asharq Business, Hamid El Andaloussi, president of the industrial cluster “Midparc”, revealed that the country’s aerospace exports are projected to double to USD 4 billion by the end of the current decade.
