China Southern Airlines orders 100 C919 Aircraft China Southern Airlines has placed an order for 100 Comac C919s, completing the trifecta of state-owned Chinese airlines committing to the domestically developed aircraft. China Southern follows Air China’s recent order, which was also for 100 C919s but in the Extended Range variant. Based on its Hong Kong stock exchange announcement, China Southern’s C919s will be acquired for $99 million per aircraft, the list price for the standard C919. They are to be delivered between the 2024-2031 timeframe. The orders from the “Big Three” and Surpana Airlines will bring the total firm orders for C919s to 330 units. Aviation Week
