Emirates unveils its first Airbus #A350 aircraft.. In pictures #Emirates #Airlines officially unveiled the first #Airbus A350-900 aircraft to join its fleet during a special event in Dubai. The event was attended by Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airlines, a number of dignitaries and partners in the #aviation sector, senior government officials, and local, regional and international media. The Emirates A350 features a 3-class configuration, with spacious cabins that can accommodate 312 passengers, with the new #Business Class comprising 32 seats, Premium Economy Class 21 seats and Economy Class 259 seats, according to a press release published on the Emirates website. The latest products on board reflect the company's commitment to providing a distinguished experience while improving operational efficiency. The Emirates A350 is the first new aircraft type to join the Emirates fleet since 2008. HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group, said: “Today marks a milestone for Emirates as we showcase our first Airbus A350 and usher in a new era of growth for our fleet and network. This aircraft paves the way for Emirates to expand by providing additional range, efficiency and flexibility to our network, enabling us to meet customer demand in new markets and open up new opportunities in the cities we serve. The new aircraft interiors and seating configuration will help us offer a more comfortable experience for customers in all classes of travel. He pointed out that the 65 Emirates A350s that will join our fleet in the coming years are in line with the airline’s plans to support the achievement of the ambitious goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which will transform the city into a pivotal hub in the global economy and make it one of the most connected cities. Philippe Mhun, Executive Vice President, Programs and Services, Airbus, said: “Our strategic partnership with Emirates has flourished for nearly four decades with the A300, A330, A340 and A380. Omar Ali Adib, Senior Vice President, Customers, Middle East and Africa, Rolls-Royce, said: “The collaborative effort between Emirates, Airbus and Rolls-Royce demonstrates what can be achieved when we share a commitment and build a long-term partnership.
