flydubai is considering reviewing its flight schedule to its destinations due to the delay in receiving Boeing #aircraft.. Details #Flydubai revealed significant impacts on its #growth plans due to the recent update regarding the ongoing delay from #Boeing in its #aircraft delivery schedule, which prompted the company to evaluate its plans related to destinations and potentially review the flight schedule across its network due to its failure to receive new aircraft within the few months. Coming. Flydubai asked Boeing to do more to fulfill its delivery obligations. Ghaith Al Ghaith, #CEO of Flydubai, explained that the company was very disappointed when we learned that Boeing would not be able to fulfill its commitment to deliver more aircraft for the remainder of the year. He added that Boeing's repeated revisions to the delivery schedule hindered our strategic growth plans and led to negative impacts on our flight schedules. The reduction in capacity will ultimately impact our customers as well as our expected financial performance. According to a press release published on the Flydubai website. Flydubai has always been keen on its long-term #partnership with Boeing, and flydubai, in #cooperation with the #manufacturer, has shown great flexibility in facing challenges over the past years. Boeing called for immediate action and the implementation of decisive measures to stabilize #production and delivery operations to avoid further delays while maintaining the highest standards. Al Ghaith added that Flydubai is looking forward to a quick solution. Flydubai built its plans during this year on a commitment to receive 14 new aircraft, and the company will continue to explore all possible options to mitigate the impact of these delays on it. Low numbers of aircraft delivered annually Flydubai operates a fleet of 88 Boeing #b737 aircraft, which includes: 29 New Generation Boeing #b737-800 aircraft, 56 Boeing #b737 MAX 8 aircraft, and 3 Boeing #b737 MAX 9 aircraft. Impact on operations and costs Flydubai's strategic growth plans, which rely heavily on the timely addition of new aircraft to the fleet, have been significantly affected by delays in the delivery of new aircraft from Boeing. To mitigate aircraft delivery delays, meet the increase in #travel demand and add capacity, particularly during peak travel periods, flydubai has had to resort to aircraft #leasing #agreements with crew, maintenance and insurance (ACMI). The company also extended the operational lease contracts for some aircraft that were scheduled to be returned to lessors under sale and lease agreements, and this means more costs for the company.
