This strategic agreement is aimed at fostering long-term innovation and modernization of Singapore’s Air Traffic Management (ATM) infrastructure, which is critical for accommodating the increasing air traffic demands in the region. At the invitation of OSTİM Savunma ve Havacılık Kümelenmesi (OSSA) (Ostim Defence and Aviation Cluster) last week I had the privilege and chance to attend #ICDDA2024 in Ankara. This unique event focused on #B2B meetings and aimed at bringing closer potential buyers and suppliers. I must say, we would need many more of such events in Europe. This is how needs and capabilities can be matched and business made. For over 2 days together with Peter Bolesza CEO of SciEngineer we were negotiating with respected companies such as Roketsan Roket Sanayii ve Ticaret. A. This initiative aims to enhance safety across the industry. Key recommendations include: •Responsible Sourcing: Only procure from 🇺🇸FAA or 🇪🇺EASA-accredited suppliers. •Supplier Oversight: Establish a dedicated entity for supplier monitoring 🕵🏻 •Accredited Vendor Database: Create a registry of approved vendors 📒 •Digital Documentation 💻: Increase the use of digital parts documentation and standardise it. •Technician 🧑🏻🔧 Training: Improve training to identify unapproved parts. •Part Tracking: Ensure discarded parts🗑️do not re-enter the supply chain. EDGE Signs Contract with Airbus Defence and Space Tawazun Council EDGE Airbus Aircraft #C295 #Cargocompartment #MakeItintheEmirates #UAE Michael Deshaies Jean-Brice Dumont #EDGE Group entity, #EPI, has signed a serial production contract with Airbus Defence and Space, following a successful prototyping phase, to manufacture and assemble C295 Cargo Compartment Removeable Tanks.   Under the agreement, the two companies will work together exclusively on the serial production of #C295 Cargo Compartment Removable Tanks. The agreement also involves the integration of 300 fabricated parts, 16,000 fasteners, centre of gravity testing, and leak testing. It supports EPI’s transition to assembling recognisable sub-systems for an aircraft programme. The agreement, aligned with the vision of ‘Make It in the Emirates,’ demonstrates EDGE’s commitment to advancing Industry 4.0 practices, fostering economic growth, and driving technological excellence both locally and internationally. It also facilitates significant knowledge transfer and cooperation between the two parties. The contract was signed by Michael Deshaies, CEO of EPI, and Anna Jacobs, Head of Assemblies and Materials Commodity at Airbus Defence and Space, in the presence of Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE Group, and Jean-Brice Dumont, Head of Air Power at Airbus Defence and Space.
