🚀 Exciting News: Belgian Defence and skeyes inaugurate joint NOTAM office for air navigation   Starting today, our country will have one single NOTAM office responsible for the preparation, management, and dissemination of essential information, relating to air navigation to all civil and military airspace users. 🌍📡     This integration aims to boost efficiency, streamline information management, and ensure more consistent communication and service delivery to our users. Safran is investing in its global MRO network with the construction of a state-of-the-art "Module Factory" at Brussels Airport. The 11,000+ square meter facility, set to open in mid-2027, will focus on LEAP engine module maintenance and boost capacity to 1,200 shop visits annually by 2028. The facility will create 220 new jobs, bringing the total workforce to 570. It will feature advanced automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies, and operate on 100% renewable energy, making it a carbon-neutral site with solar panels and circular heating systems. Boeing will build an engineering center of excellence in Morocco. The Moroccan government and Boeing have signed a partnership agreement to create an African Center of Manufacturing Excellence (ACME), strengthening Morocco's growing aerospace sector through technology transfer. NTS TECHNICS, engineering partner, aims for Level 3 design certification and Boeing Approved Supplier status. ACME will be the first R&D center in Africa with the Boeing label. Consortium model to encourage innovation and advanced manufacturing. “Investing in Morocco’s future and establishing a strong aeronautical footprint for future generations is at the heart of this alliance,” said Ryad Mezzour. 40 Years of Collaboration Between ArianeGroup and INTES At this year’s PERMAS User Meeting, Mr. Benoit Petitjean of ArianeGroup delivered a captivating keynote titled “From Ariane 4 to Ariane 6: Dynamics with PERMAS.”  His talk recounted the remarkable 40-year partnership between the two organizations that most people don’t know. In chronological order, Mr. Petitjean highlighted the many technical advancements in PERMAS as the results of the collaboration, despite ArianeGroup underwent several organizational and name changes over the years. Today, PERMAS is one of the key systems for simulating launch vehicle dynamics at ArianeGroup. Safran Helicopter Engines and MTU Aero Engines have signed the cooperation agreement to create the 50/50 joint venture EURA (derived from EUropean Military Rotorcraft Engine Alliance). This newly-created company will form the core of a larger program, which will collaborate with industrial and technological partners from several other European nations. Milestone alert 👍! Last week we tested the #CFRP demonstrator of a landing leg for a reusable rocket 🚀. The landing leg together with a telescopic system and an integrated locking mechanism will guarantee a stable landing and the reusability of the rocket. The test campaign began with small drop distances and the alignment of countless measuring points. Finally, we brought the demonstrator into an upright position for the final deployment test - just like a realistic rocket landing. Then the 7-meter-high landing leg withstood all the impact energy 💥 by deploying vertically under gravity and deployed properly. The low weight and high performance in terms of strength, are groundbreaking for the future technology of European rockets, where #sustainability will be the focus. But now it's time to evaluate all the test data before moving on. The demonstrator is part of the EU #HorizonEurope program SALTO. #rocketscience #greenspace #composites #leightweight #spaceEnablers
