I’m beyond honored and grateful to be named one of the “100 Most Influential Women in the German Economy 2024” by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and manager magazin. This recognition is about all the women who are pushing boundaries, driving innovation and changing the way we think about leadership. While we’ve made great strides, there’s still much more to do. Studies like the Gender Diversity Index 2024 by BCG and Technische Universität München show that companies with a high level of gender diversity are not only more crisis-resistant, but also invest more in future technologies such as artificial intelligence, thereby ensuring their long-term competitiveness. At the same time, the study shows that women remain severely underrepresented on the boards of the top 100 German companies, with a ratio of just 21%. Women are key to shaping the future of business and making organizations ready for what’s next. This is why initiatives like this are so important. Why making role models visible for the younger generation matters. A big thank you to #teamZEISS, ZEISS Group, Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and manager magazin for making this nomination possible and congratulations to all the inspiring women listed! Which woman has inspired you in your career and driven you to make a change in the business world?
Congratulations 🎉 That comes beyond well-deserved! I know only a few people who are so forward-looking, visionary yet pragmatic and implementation-oriented. You have proven again and again that leadership focuses on people first to build the core of the company but also means accepting responsibility beyond the core organization to reach out for society and politics. Thank you for all your work and engagement and looking forward to working together in the future. The woman who inspired me most to date is Margarethe Vestager. The way she battles and fights for the future of Europe is truly amazing.
Congratulations Susan-Stefanie Breitkopf! This is also an honor for all of us🫶 You indeed are a role model and an inspiration to many women. Cheers to conquering the world 🥂 My female mentor back in 2015 inspired me the most and she is one of the reasons that I never lost my authenticity and personal style, no matter whoever I came across and worked together with. And, of course it does make personal life more meaningful too. Doesn’t it? #womenempowerment
Gratuliere, Susan-Stefanie Breitkopf!
Absolut verdient❣️Ich freue mich sehr für Dich Susan.
Congratulations! Very well deserved!
Glückwunsch, liebe Susan. Well deserved :-) so toll, dass Du Teil von #teamZEISS bist.

1wCongrats Susan-Stefanie, the woman that inspired me the most is my mother. Working in the geriatric care is a really tough and underpaid job. Especially during Christmas time she has taken special care of those who need it most and who may be alone during the Christmas season. Mastering this sacrificial task requires dedication and passion. This commitment to a job/passion that is close to your heart has always inspired me and will continue to do so. In my work context, I had the honor to support Katja Scharpwinkel and Saori Dubourg to handle the most difficult humanitarian crisis in my time at BASF. At all times, it was all about helping the people on the ground and overcoming all the hurdles along the way. This determined yet warm appearance deeply impressed me and once again made clear what truly matters: humanity.
