  • One step for two back ... as we just think we learned something from the pandemic, it's all back to 'normal'. When will we start to change the narrative - it's time for a new work-life-system where everyone can thrive - which does not mean to do more, but rather less and what matters first. So is mandatory back to the desk the answer? https://lnkd.in/enKWjdmj

  • Time for a new school year and for many of us another moment to let go. “Your children are not your children. They are sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you.And though they are with you yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts, For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday. You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth....." Khalil Gibran #eternallove ❤️💗❤️💗❤️💗❤️

  • Pease read with some conscious observation and urgent action for change. We can learn so much from eachother around the globe. Also our lessons leaned from the #momslead research. Instead of putting economy in our center of decision making it’s time to shift and structure life for well-being - especially for our kids.

Summer in America is expensive and logistically brutal for parents. This week, I’ve decided to broaden my perspective by finding out more about how families across the globe handle summer care and kids. While my research was not comprehensive, the stories I heard from parents in other countries really highlighted for me how the US has a unique set of circumstances that makes summer so challenging. I was not able to find any other Western country that has the combination of long summer breaks, no mandated paid vacation time, minimal subsidized options, and a dominant cultural belief that kids need constant supervision, especially in public places. Clearly articulating all of these factors really helps me understand how we find ourselves in Hunger Games-like registration battles and spending thousands per kid per summer, just so parents can continue their jobs. Please enjoy (with some envy) how summer works in Canada, Iceland, Germany, Nigeria, Portugal, and Croatia. (link in comments)

  • Yes, and it’s not just an unfinished business for gender equality but also the seismic shift we need for society to thrive (instead of continue to burn out - as humans a d the resources of the planet). We started our #momslead summit series in 2021 and we will do it again.

  • Today, on Mother’s Day, we feel the movement of a new narrative even stronger. To dance a new song, we searched for some words which came before. Here's a list of 6 songs that celebrate mothers as change agents, highlighting their dedication, selflessness, and the profound impact mothers have on our lives, emphasizing their resilience, dedication, and unwavering love. 1.      "Mama's Song" by Carrie Underwood 2.      "Dear Mama" by 2Pac 3.      "You're Gonna Be" by Reba McEntire 4.      "A Song for Mama" by Boyz II Men 5.      "Superwoman" by Alicia Keys 6.      "The Best Day" by Taylor Swift Which is your favorite? And which one is missing on this list? Are there really enough songs about MOTHERS who touch our heart and let the words & spirit carry us into a new future?   Our founder, Eve Simon is not a singer, but maybe in one of her many roles, a songwriter. What do you think? Do we miss a line and who is the singer who brings some tunes to these words? “In the quiet of the morning, as the sun begins to rise, I think of all the things you've done, with love in your heart. You carry us through stormy nights, with patience as your guide, you show us how to stand up tall, with courage by our sides. Oh, mamas, you're the heartbeat of our days, your love is like a beacon, lighting up the way. Through every trial, every tear, you've been societies guiding light, Oh, mothers, your strength shines bright. Your wisdom like a gentle breeze, that helps us all along. You are the cornerstone of society, the anchor in life's sea, your kindness blooms in every heart, just as the future leader we so urgently need. In your eyes, we see the future, a world of hope and grace. Your dreams are carried on our wings, as we find our own place. For all the times you've sacrificed, your dreams, you put aside, we'll lift you up, we'll make you proud, with love and joy and pride. So here's to you, our guiding star, our mothers, strong and true. May we carry forth your legacy, in all we say and do. For you're the leader of our hearts and wisdom, the hero of our time, oh, mother dear, in all we are, we love to see your impact shine.” #momslead love to give and up-lift your day, every day, so we opened a new WhatsApp channel to spark some thoughts and powerful affirmation for the next 21 days.   Ready? https://lnkd.in/eg8Pj4Vv Happy Mother’s Day! We are incredible honored to have met so many during our research, our different course offerings and during our annual summits. Please know: YOU ROCK!
