The review of the Urban Forest Strategic Plan 2017-2036, which outlines the City’s vision to expand canopy cover, renew our aging tree population and strengthen urban forest management - was adopted by Council in October 2024. This review emphasised the increasing need for City-community collaboration to preserve our green spaces for future generations, all while tackling challenges such as urban growth, climate change and risks to tree health.
