It's just been announced that the City is set to receive $17.1 million in federal government grants! 🎉 $15m towards the redevelopment of Kwinana Recquatic! 🎉 $2.1m towards the City Centre Precinct upgrades! Included in the proposal for the Recquatic is increased pool capacity, along with expanded and modernised health, fitness and wellness facilities. These grants will help support overall health and wellbeing in our rapidly growing community and improve access to modern, accessible and fit-for purpose facilities and infrastructure. The City of Kwinana was thrilled to receive a Lotterywest grant of $85,000 toward its vibrant event season! The grant certificate was presented by Premier and Kwinana MLA Roger Cook today, who kindly invited staff to his electorate office. This funding will be used to encourage community participation and build a stronger sense of belonging during the multifaceted events series on now until to March 2025. A reminder that the dynamic OMG! Festival starts tonight at 6pm in The Grove - nestled between the City's Administration Building and the Koorliny Arts Centre Kwinana - and continues tomorrow night before moving to Wellard for a Street Festival next weekend.
