On the afternoon of June 30, 2017, Dr. Sudhir Sharma superannuated as Deputy Director from
the Department of AYUSH , Homeopathy wing. The contributory retirement function was held
at Asia 21 Banquet Hall, Preet Vihar. The distinguished guests for the afternoon were, Dr R. K.
Manchanda, DG, CCRH, Dr KK Juneja, President Delhi Board of Homeopathy, and Dr Hema
Kolhe, DD ISM. The ceremony was anchored by Dr. Amrit Kalsi, CMO (NFSG). At the beginning
of the program, Dr. Brender Sharma, CMO(NFSG) (HQ), extended a warm welcome by
presenting bouquets to Dr Sudhir Sharma and his wife Mrs. Renu Sharma. Dr. Promila Malhotra,
SAG, CDMO (East) was also honored for her services to the department. Dr. Sudhir Sharma was
honored with garlands by other people from the department and his journey into the medical
field was charted.
Dr Sudhir sharma joined the department on April2, 1983, as AMO. In the year 1996, he was
promoted in gazette group A as a Medical Officer. He remained CMO (HQ) during the year
1997. In 2001, the Japanese govt. sponsored him for National Health and Development and
Policy Planning programme. Since 2000, he worked in the Polio Cell. He remained as Assembly
Coordinator of Cental, South West and West wings. He was zonal coordinator in MMA
(Motiabind Mukti Abhiyan). He remained in charge of Janakpiuri and Nanglaraya Homeopathic
dispensary. He retained the office of CDMO for New Delhi District. In May 2016, he became the
Deputy Director (Homeopathy) in the Department of AYUSH. During his short span as a DD two
DPCCs were conducted in Homeopathic Wing for 60 doctors and 12 were promoted to the SAG
level. A brief send off speech was given by Dr. Brender Sharma and Dr. KK Juneja. Dr. R K
Manchanda shared his experiences and emphasized that the doctors must take benefit of every
opportunity available at the dispensary level and at the hospital unit for the betterment of
Homeopathy. Dr Ashok Sharma, SAG, musically conveyed his feelings for Dr Sudhir Sharma.
Thereafter Dr. Sudhir Sharma was called upon the stage. He profusely expressed his gratitude
to one and all in a heartfelt parting speech. This was followed by a presentation of mementoes.
A memento was presented on behalf of the department by Dr. Brender Sharma. The
Homeopathic Pharmacist Welfare Association also honored Dr. Sudhir Sharma by presenting a
memento and a shawl to Mrs. Renu Sharma. Shri Vinay Kumar, AAO along with Dr. Brender
Sharma disbursed the post retirement cheque. The staff present there gave him a warm send
off and everyone wished him good luck, longevity and days filled with happiness, health and
contentment. After this the guests and the homeopathic fraternity proceeded for a high tea.
