Healthy entrepreneurship 💼🌱 We all know that real entrepreneurship is like a sport that requires perseverance, determination, and overcoming obstacles. However, every entrepreneur's journey is unique, just like every athlete on their track. At the same time, entrepreneurship is also a competition with yourself - constant self-surpassing, development, and balance are critical factors in achieving success without losing yourself. But what is a healthy entrepreneurship? For me it's a balanced lifestyle where business meets sports every day. Be it running, skiing, walking, and always on business trips 🏃♀️⛷️🚶✈️ WHY I do sports every day in addition to business and create a better healthy entrepreneurship for myself: ↘ #ImprovesProductivity Regular exercise not only improves physical health but also increases mental capacity and concentration. Sport always increases energy and motivation, increasing productivity and creativity in business. ↘ #StrengthensResilience Entrepreneurship is a marathon, not a sprint. Regular exercise helps build stamina, which is essential for long-term business success. A healthy body can better withstand challenges and ensure longer-term performance and endurance. ↘ #CreatesBalance Entrepreneurship can be hectic and engaging, but balance is critical to maintaining health and happiness. Doing sports allows you to take a break, think more clearly, and recharge yourself emotionally and physically. In business you can be a paradox. - You can be serious but playful. - Creative but analytical. - Career-driven but travel. - Ambitious but easy-going. - Assertive but kind. As humans, we are not ONE thing. We should not have to hide parts of ourselves. Even when they might seem ‘contradictory’ on the surface. As a nomadic entrepreneur, I really feel that. One day, I might be hiking in the mountains, the next on client calls with my Academy. You might think I should only show the second part. The serious, work part. But humans are multi-dimensional beings. - You can be a dad AND a director - A software engineer AND a bachata teacher (true story) - A lawyer AND a poet - An investor AND a content creator Lean into the different parts of you. It’ll make you stand out. And it’ll help you in business. Because a person who is well-rounded is more likely to see different perspectives. And make better decisions as a result. "Balance" as an entrepreneur is tricky. Here's the truth 👇🏻 If you're looking for each day to feel like the perfect split of work and life, you're not likely to find it in entrepreneurship. For founders, balance isn't a tightrope walk. It’s more like surfing. 🏄🏼♀️🌊 You ride the waves, embrace the highs and lows, and adapt as you go. You have to be willing to roll with the ebbs and flows of business. Some days (or seasons) it's about being hands-on, saying "yes" to more, and giving work your all. Sometimes, it's about giving yourself the space to recharge and reflect. Both modes are just as important as the other, but they're needed at different times. As you gain more experience, you're more equipped to decide when it's time to put pedal to the metal, and when it's better to pump the brakes. Most people overestimate how hard it is to make their first $1M in business. Let me share an insight I’ve been thinking about lately. This idea is borrowed from sports, but the lesson applies directly to business. You’ve probably heard of the four-minute mile. For the longest time, athletes thought running a mile in under four minutes was impossible. That was until Roger Bannister broke the record. After that, many others followed, and what was once impossible became the norm. A similar event occurred recently at the Paris Olympics, when a Chinese swimmer broke the 100-meter freestyle record. We’ll likely see more swimmers achieve the same feat. The takeaway? An “impossible” goal suddenly feels much more achievable when surrounded by people who have done it. In other words… Your Circle Defines Your Reality. In business, this is just as true as it is in sports. If you want to grow, you need to work on your game—your sales, marketing, offers, systems, and most importantly, your mindset as an entrepreneur. And the easiest way to level up in all of these areas? Surround yourself with the right crowd. When you’re hanging out with people who have clarity, drive, and focus, you automatically raise your standards. It’s like playing soccer with Messi or b-balling with Kobe… You can’t help but improve your results. Is passion really innate or something you can develop? Many people think passion is something you're born with - that there's an internal fire burning inside you driving your interests from day one. But the truth is, passion isn't innate. It's something you nurture and grow over time. Passion is a seed that gets planted through experiences, exposure, and exploration. Maybe tinkering with something as a kid sparked curiosity that blossomed into a lifelong pursuit. Or maybe you stumbled across a new hobby or area of study almost by accident that ended up captivating you. The key is giving that seed plenty of sunlight, water, and nurturing to allow it to sprout and flourish. Immersing yourself in them through study, practice, and seeking out others who share that interest. And sticking with it, giving passion time to take root and blossom. Passion doesn't strike like lightning - it develops gradually through sustained effort and commitment. It ebbs and flows, growing stronger or temporarily fading based on your engagement with it. But if you remain open and feed it, passion can become an incredible driving force. One that provides purpose, energy, and direction. So don't wait around for passion to find you. Seek out new experiences, give your curiosities space to grow, and actively cultivate areas of deep personal interest. In doing so, you'll develop passion in the most authentic and sustainable way. 2 weeks ago, it was my birthday. And I took some time to reflect on how far I’ve pushed my brand and where I want to go moving forward. I love being able to leave people better than they found me.
