One of the great things about owning your own business is when your kids ask to go surfing on the last Friday before they start school, you can just clear your schedule and go. As I always say, starting my own business was the best career (and family) move I ever made, and days like that is one of the reasons why! #Entrepreneurship

Do You Know This About Business. I had an Epiphany in the shower 🚿 this morning. I found myself reflecting on the intriguing parallels between swimming 🏊♂️ and entrepreneurship 💼. Think about it: in swimming, you're constantly navigating currents and tides, often feeling like you're on the verge of being overwhelmed. It's not unlike the daily challenges faced by entrepreneurs, A Great Man 👴🏻 once said *“I know of No entrepreneur who doesn't feel like quitting Every Single Day”.* No matter how many YouTube tutorials or business books you devour, true mastery only comes through practice. Just as you can't learn to swim without diving into the water, you can't excel in business without rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands deep in the work. So, instead of holding back, embrace the challenges as they come...... It's where we grow, adapt, and ultimately thrive. A pro golfer can save par from what seems like an impossible lie, An entrepreneur can find a way to pivot and still reach their goals. And on that glorious day when you do hit that perfect shot, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴. What is your why? This is a question that has really pissed me off over the past months. Every PD coach, mentor, and entrepreneur will say you need to “find your why” in order to succeed, aggrandizing a potentially great tool into delusion. 🪿 So I spent months on a goose hunt. 🤿 Is it building a company I can remotely operate so I can move to Asia and SCUBA dive? No, this goal is too obvious and subject to change. Is it wanting to prove something to my parents? No, this is an extrinsic goal and thus an unclean source of energy. 🥋 Then I looked inside, mapped my entrepreneurial journey with Hogar Management to my jiu jitsu path, and asked myself “Why do I train and compete?” Because it’s a challenge, because it’s hard, because it’s fun, and I like it. Because I’m hungry and I have an intrinsic drive to learn and achieve. 💡 Aha! I don’t need some esoteric, hard-to-find, romanticized WHY. I can do things for the sake of doing them, for the challenge they present, and to achieve something difficult. My WHY is to learn, to do something hard, and to achieve something great.
