What a year! 🌍 In times of profound global challenges, the need for international collaboration has never been more pressing. Conflicts, poverty, the climate crisis, the lasting effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and increasing food and resource insecurity have reminded us once again: No country can face these challenges alone, and they don’t stop at borders. They test the resilience of societies, the stability of institutions, and the strength of global partnerships. Peace, security, and progress can only be safeguarded when people across the globe work together and show solidarity. Finding solutions to these shared issues requires determination, trust, and collective action. Development cooperation empowers people to shape their lives with freedom, safety, resources and with a future for themselves and the next generations. It drives sustainable progress and global security by improving social, economic, ecological, and political conditions worldwide. At the core of this mission are the people who bring it to life. At Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, our teams around the globe work tirelessly to address crises, promote sustainable development, support strong institutions and people and so much more. Your expertise, incredible motivation and commitment translate global goals into local impact - helping communities thrive and creating opportunities for generations to come. Your hard work inspires progress every day. Together, we refuse to stand still and act with purpose to build a better future. None of this would be possible without the trust and collaboration of all our partners. Through collaboration, we amplify our impact and address the pressing issues of our time with focus and resolve. As we reflect on this year, we not only recognize the scale of the challenges ahead, but also see the strength of our shared commitment to overcome them. Building on the progress we have made together, we are ready to face the future and achieve so much more. #GIZ Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), GIZ African Union, GIZ Tanzania and EAC, GIZ Ghana, GIZ Nigeria & ECOWAS, GIZ South Africa, Lesotho & eSwatini, GIZ South Sudan, GIZ Sudan, GIZ Kenya, GIZ Zambia, GIZ Côte d'Ivoire, GIZ Uganda, GIZ Bénin, GIZ Senegal, Gambia, Cabo Verde, GIZ Rwanda, GIZ Namibia, GIZ Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea, GIZ Somalia, GIZ Burkina Faso, GIZ Mauritanie, GIZ Madagascar, GIZ Chad, GIZ Togo, GIZ DRC, GIZ Cameroon, GIZ Niger, GIZ Mali, GIZ Mozambique, GIZ Botswana and SADC, GIZ Malawi, GIZ Ethiopia and Djibouti
