About us

GIZ has been working in Mozambique since 1985, addressing challenges such as poverty, limited access to basic services, and the impacts of conflict and climate change. On behalf of BMZ, the EU, NORAD, and SDC, GIZ focuses on sustainable economic development, climate and energy, and peace and social cohesion. Key efforts include: Aligning vocational education with labor market needs and creating jobs; Expanding renewable energy and promoting clean cooking technologies; Strengthening municipalities to improve services and foster social cohesion, particularly in the north. Through these initiatives, GIZ supports Mozambique's sustainable development and recovery. The registered offices of GIZ are in Bonn and Eschborn (Germany).
