Your team is only as strong as its weakest link. That's why it's crucial to build a cohesive team instead of focusing solely on individuals. One untrained individual could be the cause of an accident, error, or disaster that could result in loss, penalties, or even liquidation of the business. To avoid this, build a culture of knowledge sharing and foster cooperation among your team. Remember, teamwork makes the dream work! #teamwork #teambuilding #teamcollaboration #knowledgesharing

The power of intra-team 'peer review' sessions: Before submitting, I conduct an internal 'peer review' of the proposal within the team. This not only strengthens the proposal but also helps team members see their roles more clearly. Plan this session before you start writing so that everybody in the team is ready. I typically plan this session about 3 weeks before the application due date.

Every team has bottlenecks. Those areas where processes slow down, mistakes happen, or productivity stalls. My experience has shown that bottlenecks mostly happen in non-repetitive workflows but not always. Identifying and addressing these weak points can lead to smoother workflows, better productivity, and a more motivated team. Here are some ideas: ▶️ Figure Out Processes Clearly: Document each step in your team’s workflow to identify areas where work is delayed or responsibilities overlap. This gives you a clear view of where issues are arising. Leave room for input. ▶️ Gather Team Input: Your team members know the workflow best. Encourage open feedback on what’s working, what’s not, and what could be improved. Often, simple changes suggested by the team can have a major impact. Reward successful suggestions. ▶️ Focus on Small Wins: Not every solution needs to be a big overhaul. Streamlining small tasks, like automating recurring emails or using templates for routine reports, can free up time for higher-value work. A 0.01 % increase of productivity is still a win, don’t take it for granted. ▶️ Implement Regular Check-ins: Regular reviews of the workflow allow for ongoing adjustments as needs change, keeping processes efficient and effective over time. I’d recommend quarterly while there’s a monthly feedback loop. Optimizing workflow is an ongoing process, but even small adjustments can cause big results. If you’d like to take a deeper dive into refining your team’s workflow, I can help identify these bottlenecks and help you craft solutions that fit your situation and goals.
