Taking our #1 plant-based Tacos from Restaurant to Retail

95% of business aren’t doing this… Over the last 6 years I’ve worked really hard at community building for our restaurants. I’ll be honest, some of it happened organically and some of it was well thought out. I’ve come to realize that community building is probably one of the top driving factors in our success and it’s allowed us to continue to grow when others are failing. People want to buy from companies they align with and that feel like they’re embedded into the community. Here are 5 ways to build community around your brand: 1. Partner with a charity. I say this often because I think it’s important to give back charities in business and in your personal life. it’s also so simple to partner with a charity you love and leverage both audiences for good. 2. Collab with another business. Other businesses don’t have to be competition, they can be a great partner. Create an event or special or gift item for the holidays that both businesses can promote and sell. Again 2 email lists are better than 1. Customers get really excited to support collabs like this. 3. Work with city and county officials to see change in your area. If you don’t know who your local officials are, find out! Local officials are elected to help the community. Invite them to your business and tell them why your business is important in your area and explain what changes your business would like to see. Biz owners grossly underestimate the power they have will local governments. 4. Go to events. Maybe you have a physical product to sell like food or goods. The more local events you go to the more people will recognize your brand as a staple in the community. We do roughly 8-10 events a year from 500 attendees to 60K attendees. 5. Network, put yourself out there. Trust me I used to HATE networking and talking to people I don’t know. I still don’t love it. But it’s a skill that takes practice and it does get easier. 🎥 video of the last event we did with Clark County Commissioner Naft. 👇 #community #smallbusiness #marketing #restaurantowner #businessowner
