Good morning everyone. as some people may know I do charity events once a year to try and help children charities with huge amount of help from Bateman Groundworks Ltd Me and 8 others will be climbing SCARFELL PIKE on 19th of July For JAMES PAGET HOSPITALChildren’s ward 10 / children’s day patients For kids that need daily treatments. This will hopefully allow the children to have a more comfortable and pleasant stay as will be able to provide a lot of distractions for the children to keep them occupied. What Eating Disorders Victoria Vision of a Free Relationship with Body, Food, and Movement Means to Me......... For me Freedom in our relationships with body, food, and movement translates into a set of values and practices that resonate deeply and have shaped how I view these essential aspects of life. It means embracing the idea that our bodies are not defined by how they look but by the incredible things they enable us to do! This perspective helps one move away from external expectations and toward greater self-compassion and appreciation for the diversity and functionality of our bodies. With food, it's about curiosity, enjoyment and connection. For me, this translates into honoring individual preferences, listening to personal needs, and rejecting restrictive, one-size-fits-all narratives that can overshadow the joy of eating and the connection this brings with family, friends and community. When it comes to movement, freedom is about finding joy and connection rather than seeing it as an obligation or a means to an end. It’s an opportunity to care for well-being and tune into our body's needs, whether it’s activity, rest, or something in between. This idea of freedom isn’t about achieving perfection—it’s about making progress and connecting with ones needs. It’s a journey of kindness, balance, and empowerment. I feel incredibly grateful for the lessons I’ve gained while working at EDV, which continue to deepen my understanding of this perspective. The Essential Medicine Supply Chain is brittle and too delicate. It breaks more, and stays broken longer, than ever recorded. Some days, it feels like we are just surviving through the next dire drug shortage with duct tape and goodwill. Other days, I worry when the duct tape will run out. Most days, I wonder why it is so hard to ensure that everyone receives treatment. But today, on Thanksgiving, during the IV Fluid Shortage crisis, I want to share how grateful I am for YOU, our supply chain heroes. I’ve witnessed you work through vacations, take the extra call, sacrifice family dinner, overnight-ship the emergency supply, collaborate for the greater good, share with those in need, figure out how to do more with less, fight for one patient, fail, rebuild, recover, and try again. You are the supply chain that fills the hands that save our people. THANK YOU for the work you do for patients! THANK YOU for ensuring supply is IN and working together for ALL patients when it is not IN. Your efforts do not go unnoticed. You save lives. You are the Change! We are grateful! #ALLIN
