I have to share this post for two reasons. One is that I am a proud trustee for Humanimal Trust and really believe in One Medicine for humans and animals (watch the video - Noel explains it better). The second is that I know how many will appreciate how ridiculously cute Noel’s cat, Richochet, is! #onemedicine#humanimaltrust
Happy 10th Birthday Humanimal Trust!!
Today, 6th May, we are celebrating our 10th birthday, the day our charity was founded by Professor Noel Fitzpatrick back in 2014. This day is now known as One Medicine Day. We want to thank each and every one of you for your support and dedication for the charity. You are all amazing! Without you we simply would not be here. Thank you from everyone here at Humanimal Trust.
Oh Laurie I love those cats, they're so beautiful! I saw such a cute dog last week with no back legs but on 2 wheels instead and seem v.happy, immediately thought of Noel
CCO @Grace & Green | Improving access to sustainable period products | Championing period dignity for all🩸Coaching | Consulting | Mentoring | Founder @Seed to Oak
When I joined Grace & Green in 2022 as Head of Growth, my very first presentation to the Board was about how we took what had been created in Period Dignity and use this to have a much wider impact on both the business and the world of work. How would we make Period Dignity the market leader (with very little money to spend to do so)?
I don't have enough space in this post to work through exactly what I set out in that meeting, however it boiled down to:
✌ Understanding the impact we want to have: It's always been about more than supplying products - Education is woven into the threads of Period Dignity.
To achieve period dignity we need access to information, availability of products and acceptance within workplace culture - we designed our offering and continue to develop everything we do around these pillars. This was summed up perfectly by a client (John) who said "Grace & Green don't just supply a product, they create a CULTURE". Exactly John.
✌ Remember who we are and why we are doing it: Unsurprisingly, the workplace space has and is becoming more competitive. This is excellent news, as more businesses embrace free period care as a basic right, and especially comforting how many are choosing a more sustainable providers. As now Chief Commercial Officer, it's also mildly stressful (mildly 🙃 ).
However, dignity continues to be about more than avoiding getting caught short, it's about embracing inclusivity and supporting our Members to deliver dignity for all, no matter of age, gender identity, or how they experience their period. There's still a long way to go, and we've got SO much more coming here...
✌ Treat every customer like they are absolutely making our day. This is perhaps a small business mindset, or when many of the team have done almost every job in the company. We all remember the THRILL of winning our first big contract, the DELIGHT of walking into a shop and seeing our products on shelf, or randomly walking into the bathroom BEAMING seeing our products. We don't take for granted the fact we get to be in people's everyday.
(For me this has never worn off, my heart still skips a little when I process an order, receive a tender award notice, or see a customer talking about us on socials.)
Particularly grateful for our team for supporting our phenomenal YOY 120% growth, for challenging, pushing our vision and positioning, and for being excellent.
I'm incredibly proud of what we and our members are doing to drive inclusivity, awareness and dignity within their workplaces and educational establishments. I can't wait to see what the next two years can hold.
Happy Birthday Period Dignity. x
Two years of Period Dignity 🎉
It's #WorldMenstrualHygieneDay and we're celebrating two years of making periods dignified and accessible for everyone.

Over 4,000 pounds of useful products include art supply containers, storage cases, toys, and other items appropriate for the Belize school children this non-profit benefits. Over 7,300 items were included in the donation, one of the largest ever received by the organization. Duncan Toys Company, which like Flambeau is a member of the Nordic Group of Companies, contributed a significant portion of the donated items. The Christmas holiday season is one of my favorites because it encourages us to think of others, share more kindness, and it gives us an opportunity to celebrate many ideas and beliefs we have in common. Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and Agnostics have a great deal in common. We have notable similarities in notions of sacrifice, good works, hospitality, peace, justice, pilgrimage, and charity.
My invitation to all of you during this season, as well as during 2025 is to turn down the chattering voices of the media outlets and social media who are paid to promote the shocking, the controversial, and the divisive, and instead choose to focus on the things we have in common. In my experience, we will usually find that we have a lot more in common than we originally thought if we take the time to talk to each other, ask sincere questions, and listen with the intent to find common ground.
If you are looking for a fun way to make a charitable donation and make it a fun experience for your family and friends, then I would encourage you to check out the link below and look for a Light The World Giving Machine near you. It provides you with an opportunity to purchase items for local or international charities. Imagine swiping your credit card at a vending machine—but instead of buying a candy bar for yourself, you’re buying a sheep for a family in a third-world country. Or a polio vaccine. Or a pair of shoes. Or meals for a local Food Bank. With the #LightTheWorld Giving Machines, that’s exactly what happens. The Giving Machines provide a way for people to make the Christmas season a little more meaningful for themselves and for countless others.

Hi all,
Last year I lost a close friend of mine from university. This weekend, I -along with 37 members of his friends and family- are participating in the Three Peaks Challenge, where we aim to climb the 3 three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales in under 24 hours (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon).
We are raising money for the charity Papyrus, which aims to prevent young suicide. Suicide is tragically the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, with every year over 1800 young people taking their own lives.
I have attached the link to Finn's sister, Kezia's Just Giving page. If you are looking to donate to a a good cause this week maybe this can be one that is worthy.
I have also attached the link to the interview Finn's dad, Gordon, gave to the BBC earlier this week about Finn and the challenge: https://lnkd.in/enqJWSc7
Thank you for any donations!

Corporate organizations are in a position to dynamically impact their communities. Huge thank you to Lancaster County Motors, Inc. for their incredible support of Meals on Wheels of Lancaster and our community as a whole!
While you might think that donating funds is the most important part of that impact, there are actually multiple ways corporate organizations truly transform the communities they are in. Here are a few examples:
1. Allow employees to volunteer. Some organizations actually pay employees to volunteer at least 8 hours a year. Others let employees take time off to support volunteering efforts. Some go so far as to coordinate the event and encourage all employees to participate. Find a way that works best for your organization.
2. Bring exposure to community partners. Social media posts and other marketing efforts harness your brand to support community impact.
3. Host community partners at your facility. If you have space, non-profits are often needing locations to host fundraising events and hold meetings. Your space can do good too!
What ways are you using to impact your community?

Lancaster County Motors Subaru is proud to announce that during the 2023 Subaru Share the Love® Event in November and December 2023, Lancaster County Motors Subaru and our Clients donated $56,000 to two local charities! Our 2023 partners were Meals on Wheels of Lancaster and A WEEK AWAY FOUNDATION.
Yesterday, LCM Subaru General Manager Jonathan F. presented each charity with a check for $28,000. Thank you to both charities for all that you do for the community!
What Eating Disorders Victoria Vision of a Free Relationship with Body, Food, and Movement Means to Me.........
For me Freedom in our relationships with body, food, and movement translates into a set of values and practices that resonate deeply and have shaped how I view these essential aspects of life.
It means embracing the idea that our bodies are not defined by how they look but by the incredible things they enable us to do! This perspective helps one move away from external expectations and toward greater self-compassion and appreciation for the diversity and functionality of our bodies.
With food, it's about curiosity, enjoyment and connection. For me, this translates into honoring individual preferences, listening to personal needs, and rejecting restrictive, one-size-fits-all narratives that can overshadow the joy of eating and the connection this brings with family, friends and community.
When it comes to movement, freedom is about finding joy and connection rather than seeing it as an obligation or a means to an end. It’s an opportunity to care for well-being and tune into our body's needs, whether it’s activity, rest, or something in between.
This idea of freedom isn’t about achieving perfection—it’s about making progress and connecting with ones needs. It’s a journey of kindness, balance, and empowerment. I feel incredibly grateful for the lessons I’ve gained while working at EDV, which continue to deepen my understanding of this perspective.
A special mention also to Angharad Neal-Williams for the beautiful artwork that brings this vision to life so powerfully.
#BodyFoodMovementFreedom#EDV#SelfCompassion#LearningJourney
Our ‘why’ is simple. At EDV we’re working towards a Victoria where everyone has a free relationship with body, food and movement.
We’re thrilled to reveal our collab with local artist, Angharad Neal-Williams whose artwork represents our community and our vision.
You’re part of this vision, too. Give for 2025 to help us help more people, more often—because everyone with an eating disorder deserves support.
Thank you Angharad for this beautiful artwork. We can’t wait to rep it on our new stickers and tote bags.
Get yours as a thank you gift from EDV to you when you donate: https://lnkd.in/gY_DfJka
I love people that do cool sh*t, especially when it’s not just a money making idea!
Check out my friend's new nonprofit, After Party! After Party repurposes wedding & event florals to bring joy to shelters, hospitals, hospice, & more. Let's help reduce waste & spread love! If you have any vases or containers to donate, please reach out to Nora McCormack!
Here's to supporting this amazing initiative!

“HI FRIENDS!
I don't think I've mentioned it here yet, but for the next phase of my ongoing midlife crisis, I have started a nonprofit! World, meet After Party! After Party is a 501c3 that repurposes wedding & event florals to be enjoyed at shelters, hospitals, hospice, & other like organizations. You know where all of those flowers end up after weddings? In the trash. After 17 years in the wedding industry, I've become tired of seeing that amount of waste so I figured I'd try to do something about it!
Inquiries have been coming in pretty consistently, which is promising! With that, I am asking for vase/vessel donations so that I can keep costs down. Jars (clean spaghetti sauce jars, pickle, mason, any & all!), old vases, & glass containers that can be used as bedside vases would be SO wonderful! If you are able to collect, I would be happy to pick up! Other items that I will gladly accept: 5 gallon buckets, milk crates, glass racks, & plastic totes.
The website is still under construction, but if you felt compelled to donate (tax deductible donations! Huzzah!), please follow the link below.

Thank you for supporting this next leg of my ongoing psychological break-- I hope it's as successful as the last one!
