Our Managing Partner Ben Briggs coaches the Fry Club U9 Wanderers girls football team and finds it an incredibly fulfilling experience ⚽ As a massive football fan, he says being able to share that passion with the next generation is truly special 💛 "On a personal level, coaching provides the chance to spend more meaningful time with my daughter Ellie, watching her grow not only as a player but also as a confident, determined young person. "Coaching has also challenged me to step outside my comfort zone and embrace new responsibilities. It’s been a rewarding journey of personal growth, as I’ve developed my leadership and mentoring skills, while learning so much from the girls and their infectious enthusiasm. "More than anything, I see it as a way to give back to the local community. By supporting these young players, I hope to instil a love for the game, a sense of teamwork and the confidence to tackle challenges both on and off the pitch. As #UKCharityWeek draws to a close, we're celebrating #VolunteersDay 🤗 Our Strategic Consultant Lotte Buckley shares her heart-felt connection to Dorothy House Hospice Care and why she volunteers for such an important local cause 💛 "I've been volunteering at the wonderful Dorothy House since my mum spent her final week there 12 years ago. "As one of their bakers, I supply sweet treats to sell at functions and have supported various events over the years, including organising my own. "My dad and I used to host an annual tea party at his house, which was attended by over 100 friends and family, raising more than £1,000 each time. "More recently, my dog Poch and I had the pleasure of marshalling at the 'Paws in the Park' event, which was a lot of fun! "We also dedicate a FireFly to my mum each year – a beautiful tradition that provides a peaceful space to visit, think and remember."
