  • Absolutely amazing to see our Queensway Europe team open their 30th KFC this week in St. Pölten, Austria! In just 3 years they have more than doubled the amount of stores, working hard to open them in record time. It is fantastic to see the new staff being brought on board and their engagement with the local communities. Thank you for everyone involved that has made this milestone happen and we have no doubt that we will continue to see amazing growth in the new year!

  • We’re thrilled to share the impact of Queensway’s partnership with St Mungo’s! Over the first six months of our partnership, we are thrilled to say, we’ve raised £42,000 towards our annual goal of £60,000 to fund St Mungo's vital services that help people find paths away from homelessness, for good. Highlights include our “Miles for Mungo’s” challenge, raising £16,500, and our Annual Golf Day, which generated over £19,000. Beyond fundraising, Members of the Queensway Team, have been on the ground, contributing over 68 hours of volunteer service—from Westminster outreach to refurbishing gardens and hosting activities at St Mungo’s locations. Jay Hunt, St Mungo’s Head of Partnerships, shared, “It’s inspiring to see Queensway’s hands-on dedication to ending homelessness and rebuilding lives.” This partnership is about more than financial support; it’s about making real change in our communities. We’re excited to keep building on this foundation with new initiatives in the coming months!

✨ What an incredible panel discussion at the Independent Hotel Show London! ✨ Our session on Putting Inclusivity at the Heart of Guest Experiences left us with plenty to reflect on and take action. Moderated by Rita J Varga CIPD (She/Sie/Ella), CEO at RaizUp, we were honored to hear from industry leaders Nuala O'Sullivan, Becki Arthur, Tanja Furby, and Ana Costa as they shared their invaluable insights. From preventing guest bias to creating inclusive environments for guests with disabilities, and exploring how innovative design can transform experiences, the conversation sparked some bold, forward-thinking ideas. Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Innovation Stage and contributed to such a vibrant discussion. • 🌟 Queensway Charity Golf Day 2024 🌟   On Thursday, 12th September, we held our annual charity Golf Day South Herts Golf Course in London. 15 teams joined us for a Texas Scramble tournament, all in support of our charity partner, St Mungo's.   The day was full of sunshine (with a little bit of hail!) as we enjoyed a fantastic round of golf, followed by a great lunch, prize-giving, and an exciting raffle. 🎉 St Mungo's works tirelessly to end homelessness, and they are there for tens of thousands of people each year who need them, to end their homelessness and help them rebuild their lives. Through our partnership, we are committed to fundraising, donating our time, and raising awareness for this important cause. 💙   We’re thrilled to announce that we raised £19,385 during the event, bringing our total annual fundraising to over £30,000! This will go a long way in helping to end homelessness. 🏠   A huge thank you to all our partners and suppliers who made this day possible, and a special shoutout to the team at South Herts for their incredible hospitality. Together, we are making a difference.

  • As we celebrate Pride Month in June, we would like to highlight our ongoing commitment to fostering a diverse and welcoming environment for everyone. Queensway strives to create an environment where everyone feels they belong, regardless of their background or identity. We believe that our diversity makes us stronger and more innovative, driving us to better serve our customers and community 🌟 What is Pride Month? Pride Month is to honor the LGBTQ+ community's history, struggles, and achievements. The origins of Pride Month are rooted in a pivotal moment in LGBTQ+ history: the Stonewall Riots in June 1969 where the patrons of Stonewall Inn (a popular gay bar in New York City's Greenwich Village) fought back against the police harassment the community frequently received. The ensuing riots lasted for several days and galvanized the LGBTQ+ community, inspiring a more organized and vocal fight for civil rights. Pride Month is a testament to the resilience, creativity, and strength of the LGBTQ+ community. It is a reminder of the progress made and the work that remains in the fight for equality and acceptance. Happy Pride Month! #Queensway #equality #pridemonth #bekind

As the Miles for Mungo's Challenge has now ended, we are grateful for the incredible support and participation we have witnessed. This journey has been nothing short of inspiring, and it's all thanks to our amazing community here at Queensway.   We completed this challenge with a total of 287 users on the GoJoe app, did 12,930 miles and raised £15,823! 🎉 We had exceeded our target in both miles and donation in support of our charity partner St Mungo's – well done everyone!   Everyone’s dedication to running, walking, cycling, and moving to accumulate those miles has been truly remarkable. Each mile the team completed has contributed to our shared goal and has made a meaningful impact.   We extend a special thank you to those who not only participated but also donated and raised awareness to their family and friends. Your contributions have been vital in supporting the important work that St Mungo’s do. Every pound raised will go a long way in making a difference.   Here's to many more miles, more smiles, and countless moments of making a difference. Thank you for being a part of this journey! Together, we've shown that when a community comes together, incredible things can happen. #milesformungoschallenge #queensway #stmungos #challengeeverything #worktogether #havefun #bekind

  • We are now in the middle of the third week for our Miles For Mungo's Challenge in support of St Mungo's and we have exceeded our 10,000 miles goal with 287 active users! But we will still need £2,000 to reach our pound per mile goal. We would like to thank everyone who has donated so far, and we are getting closer to our target, but still a way to go. Besides clocking in our miles individually, The Queensway Team have been moving in different ways as well. We had a self defence Krav Maga session led by Christopher Pascaran on the first week of our challenge, and a soul healing dance session led by Camille Lorigo on the second week. We would like to thank St Philip's Church at Earl's Court and 25 Eccleston Place by Grosvenor - our official venue partner for our sessions. Finally, alongside our Miles For Mungo's Challenge, some of the Queensway Team were fortunate enough to volunteer with the St Mungo's Outreach Team on Monday evening in London. The teams saw first hand just how important the work of St Mungo's is within the community. With one more week to go for our challenge, please help us raise money to reach our £10,000 target! You can donate on our JustGiving page here: https://lnkd.in/gG-3ZMjR
