We set ourselves the challenge of marketing a property through a short film, and the task was to create a sense of the luxurious lifestyle that comes with owning the house.
With 35 thousand views and a great deal of attention, the answer to the question of how to move a large amount of brick and mortar with a video is clear.

Spurred on by this, we created ‘Your Presence’; a hard-hitting ad that deals with loss and grief and highlights just how difficult this time of year can be for some.
We’re really proud of it, and feel it shows our creative mantras in practice perfectly; emotive storytelling that packs a punch.

A John Lewis Christmas Spec Ad (Made Our Way)
This year, our team at Affixxius have created something truly special: ‘Your Presence’, is a heartfelt Christmas ad that explores themes of loss and grief.
Directed by our very own David Whayman, this film is a departure from the typical festive commercials you've seen in recent years and instead focuses on a deeply emotional and perhaps universally relatable topic. It’s a story that’s close to David's heart, and I couldn't be prouder of him and the entire team for the incredible way they brought this vision to life.
Shot in just one day in #Nottingham on a modest budget of £5,000, our approach was inspired by the nostalgic storytelling of the early John Lewis ads. We aimed to capture something raw and genuine, avoiding the use of SFX, and instead focusing on an emotional, understated narrative that reflects the realities many families face during the holidays. Whether it’s navigating complex relationships or dealing with loss or loneliness, we wanted this piece to resonate with those who might be feeling the weight of the season.
We understand that ‘Your Presence’ may not resonate with everyone, but we felt it was important to create something that acknowledges both the joys and challenges of family dynamics, especially at this time of year.
I’m immensely proud of what the team have achieved here—an authentic, emotive story that I genuinely believe and hope will touch the hearts of many.
