We had many reasons to celebrate this year, one of which was Dorchester Collection being named as one of the top 100 places to work by The Sunday Times. We spoke to few of our long-serving legends to see just what it is that makes our group so special and what we’ve learned over the years. Here are some of the things they had to say about being part of the DC team. “At Dorchester Collection, we really do put the employees at the heart of what we do. And what we say matters. Any time I have a question or a new idea, it is welcomed with an open mind.” Shayan V., Director of Guest Relations, Hotel Bel-Air. “Dorchester Collection has always been a great place to work, but it has got progressively better through the years. We have strong benefits and our ‘We Care’ philosophy has always been very apparent in our business.” Joshua Gray, Chef Tournant, The Beverly Hills Hotel. #BelongToTheLegend #CreateYourLegacy #WhyWeCare

Last week, same as every year, we celebrated our Long Service Awards for employees reaching 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 and 20 years milestones with Dorchester Collection. This year was extra special as Christopher Cowdray, our President who founded the company in 2006, celebrated 20 years. It is thanks to him and all our employees who bring his vision to life every day, that we continue to be a leader in the ultra-luxury sector, with a reputation for excellence. Our employees are at the heart of everything we do. Together we work as a talented community with a shared passion and commitment to each other and our loyal guests. And it is great to see more and more colleagues reaching these incredible milestones. #CreateYourLegacy #BelongToTheLegend #WhyWeCare

We recently finished this year's NAVIGATE in collaboration with our Dorchester Collection Academy. NAVIGATE is a 4 modules training programme delivered over 6 months that aims at developing leadership skills for our managers and high performers. It starts with an day of understanding what it means to be a leader at Dorchester Collection, followed by training on Feedback and how to take value based decisions. It also covers the basics of coaching on how to use this tool as a leader and finally, the different habits to become an efficient leader. At the end of the programme, participants present a business idea that could potentially be implemented in the company. This year we had two winners, Mélodie-Anais Riera – who presented a brilliant idea on how to make product immersion more efficient and Paul Huguenin – who convinced the jury that strategic partnership with specific brand could elevate the guest experience. It is a great way to grow and nurture our existing employees and further develop talented colleagues for a successful future. #BelongToTheLegend #WhyWeCare #CreateYourLegacy

We just completed another very successful "Communicators Forum" which was hosted at the wonderful Hotel Eden, Rome. Among the attendees were Hotel Managers and Guest Intelligence Managers, representing our 10 properties. Through dynamic workshops, we explored strategies to align guest intelligence with operational excellence, whilst in keeping with this year’s theme - Harmony. Caspar Craven’s inspiring keynote challenged us to think about harmony not just as a concept, but as a practical approach to leadership and collaboration. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this forum an unforgettable success! #BelongToTheLegend #WhyWeCare #CreateYourLegacy

Last week was busy with celebrations across Dorchester Collection. We celebrated both Diwali and Halloween with various activities and fun events for our employees. In Coworth Park they held their annual Pumpkin Carving Competition and the teams came up with some amazing creations! In the Corporate Office we learned more about the beautiful traditions and meaning of Diwali, and not only had some delicious traditional food, but also got to decorate our own 'rangoli' - colourful art patterns - that are thought to bring good luck and prosperity. Celebrating holidays from diverse cultures and religions is a great way to gain a deeper understanding about different traditions and customs. It also fosters and sense of belonging and inclusion, which is important part of our #wecare culture. #WhyWeCare #BelongToTheLegend #CreateYourLegacy
