🌟 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐀𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐑𝐒𝐆2024: 𝐀 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 🌟 As we prepare for Regional Scrum Gathering Belgrade 2024, it's essential to reflect on how far Agile methodologies have come since their inception. From the early days of the Agile Manifesto to today’s complex, scaled frameworks, Agile has continually evolved to meet the changing needs of teams and organizations worldwide. 🔎𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐞'𝐬 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲: 2001: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨: It all started with 17 thought leaders coming together to create the Agile Manifesto, a set of values and principles designed to enhance software development. This was a revolutionary shift from traditional, rigid project management methods to a more flexible, collaborative approach. 2004: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐗𝐏: Scrum and Extreme Programming (XP) gained popularity as effective frameworks for implementing Agile. Their emphasis on iterative development, customer feedback, and teamwork laid the groundwork for widespread Agile adoption. 2011: 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐞: As Agile principles proved successful in small teams, the need to scale these practices across larger organizations became evident. Frameworks like SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and LeSS (Large Scale Scrum) emerged, enabling Agile to be implemented at scale. 2020: 𝐀𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝: The global shift to remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic tested the adaptability of Agile teams. Sprint Consulting participated in this year's Agile Lean Europe (ALE) Unconference. Read Gábor Erényi's report from the event below. 👇 The annual Agile Lean Europe unconference was held at the end of August in Budapest, Hungary. Even the venue was unconventional: participants spent three or four days on A38 Ship, a historical ship moored on the river Danube. What is an unconference and in what way does it differ from a conventional conference? Well, first of all, there is no fixed agenda. Each day speakers have to pitch their conference topic in front of the whole audience and the agenda is created on the fly. There are multiple locations (in #ALE24 there were always at least six sessions running in parallel) and participants are completely free to choose the programme they would like to visit and they are also free to leave any time they like. This gives complete freedom for all attendees on how they self-organise their day and they are even able to choose whether they want to be speakers, listeners or participants in a round-table. Among big names in the Agile community, as Joe Justice, Maria Chec, Prateek Singh or Colleen Johnson, our consultants also held talks about such topics as valid and invalid reasons for switching from Scrum to Kanban and vice-versa, and participated in round table discussions about the future of agile, agile hardware development, organisational topologies and such. There can be no doubt that all participants returned with an extreme amount of valuable and up-to-date knowledge, a feeling of camaraderie and the enthusiastic experience created by the power of self-organisation, collaboration and agility. This unconference has proven that agile is alive and well - when done right. #ALE2024 #TheFutureOfAgile #AgileIsAlive

I am excited to share that I have successfully passed the Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) certification from Scrum.org. This certification validates my knowledge of the Scrum framework and my ability to support and enable value creation and delivery. Earning PSPO I shows my understanding of how to bridge the gap between strategy and agile product management in order to create valuable products using Scrum.

Unwritten rule #6 for Project Manager You as a Project Manager should have an enormous background to be able to run projects. For example, if you do software development, you should have background in QA, design, development, devops and lots of different areas just to be able to understand each production step of the project you manage while simultaneously there is a myth that Project Manager is only scheduling calls and dragging tasks in Jira. I am preparing for a speachshop for the Baltic's largest #Agile event (https://lnkd.in/dumTv_C2) in October. It will be about Agile for #management where we will do a surgery of few old Agile principles from the good old Agile Manifesto (https://lnkd.in/djsFbmvj) for the benefit of people in charge. It will be practical and with examples from my own experience. So, as I am diving into the details, I discover that the practices we will inspect & try are from years 1980s, 1990s and a bit of 2000s. If someone says that Agile is dead, well it cannot be true, because Agile was not born yet when those practices existed. The point is that if something is not known or understood well enough, saying it is dead is primitive and shallow. Join my speachshop - it might resurrect Agile for you if you still think it is dead. All Scrum experts agree that the #Scrum methodology does not explicitly explain how to #bill a customer, and this is not a Scrum issue, but a matter of contractual #agreement.
