What we often find during audits (even for 8 figure+ brands) might schock you! 🤯 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: It's rarely optimized. Many brands overlook the importance of retargeting video viewers and specific page interactions. Instead, they focus solely on website visitors. This approach misses out on creating a comprehensive funnel that nurtures potential customers through different stages of their journey. Hey PPC Pro. Ever had someone, or some𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 make changes to your Google Ads account without you knowing it? (auto-applied recs maybe?) Yep. We've all been there. That's why I am sharing one of my favorite scripts: 🚩 Google Ads Script for 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐔𝐑𝐋: (link in comments) 👉 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬: The script checks all the entries in the Google Ads change history of your account, and if there is a change by a user outside of your list of 'recognized' users, you will get an alert via email. The alert mail contains the number of changes and a link to the Google Sheet that lists all changes by unrecognized users. 👉 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞: It is all too often people outside your team make changes to the Google Ads accounts you manage. OK I got a question for all you Google Ads Experts out there: Who has Demand Gen seen work? Like really work? I’m curious about your cases: Did it do nothing? Did it increase branded searches? Did it fill your audience lists (and thus profitable on remarketing)? Did you see the campaign spend but also get some conversions? Did you see the campaign work AND got a high return on ad spend? Did you have a high ROAS AND were you able to increase spend profitably? Please share your findings in the comments!

When I start working with new SEO clients, almost 100% of them are shocked (and sometimes frustrated) by the keywords Google ranks them for. 🤯 Most clients think Google will find them based on their brand name and a couple of expertise keywords—who they are and what they do. But, that's often not the case. 😬 🥹 Usually, the top 10 ranking keywords for new clients are completely unrelated to their actual services and how they help their clients. Why does this happen? Google picks keywords for site ranking by considering two key things (among others, but these are crucial and straightforward): 1. The keywords the site owner tells Google to rank the site for. 2. The keywords users Google and then engage with on the site. While we can't control what people search for, we have complete control over the keywords we tell Google to rank us for. 🎯 Here’s where you should place your keywords to ensure Google understands how you want to be ranked: 1. SEO Title - thanks to the leaked file, we know this can be longer than 60 characters - ✅ Example. Pssssst… you know that extra £5,000-£10,000 you want to spend on ads? 🤫 Spend it on improving your post-click experience instead: - Load speeds - Feature banners - Sticky ATC buttons - Competitor comparisons - Video-based testimonials - High quality lifestyle imagery - Filtering & navigation optimisation - Adding UGC to product carousels - Adding multiple payment options - Specifying estimated delivery dates - Matching your landing page copy to your ad copy - Suggesting complementary products and creating bundles to improve AOV Congrats- you just increased your profit on exactly the same ad spend, not just for the next month, but every month moving forwards until the end of time. It’s wild to me in 2024 that people still think the best way to fill a bucket with a hole in it is to pour more water in. The average cost of ad distribution will continue to rise in line with increased competition, and there’s very little you can do about that. Yes, you can invest in epic creative and create irresistible offers. But long term, you’re not going to outspend or outsmart a fundamentally poor conversion rate. Always start at the destination and then reverse engineer it from there. P.S- you’re not dreaming. This is an advertiser telling you not to spend more on ads. Do you use the Trending Search Terms script by Nils Rooijmans in your accounts? With Google pushing more on broad match and automation you probably should. I've seen examples where out of nowhere the algorithm goes after one search term like crazy.
