This Is GRAMMY U

Get to know your GRAMMY U team! At the core of GRAMMY U, there are 14 student Representatives across 12 Chapters nationwide. Working together with 100+ Ambassador volunteers, our GRAMMY U leaders ensures our members are receiving the most out of their membership. All GRAMMY U members are associated with the Chapter closest to their residing city, but also have full access to the services and support of all Chapters nationwide. Our National GRAMMY U team supports Reps and Ambassadors on all GRAMMY U initiatives.

There are 14 GRAMMY U Student Representatives across 12 Recording Academy Chapters located in many of the country's legendary music centers. These Reps co-produce all events and oversee membership within their Chapters. As part of an intensive mentorship program as part-time staff at the Recording Academy, our Reps receive the opportunity to experience GRAMMY Week in Los Angeles, host interviews at SXSW in Austin, and contribute to our national programs like the annual GRAMMY U Conference. In between events, GU reps evangelize about the program, while working internally to maintain its public-facing day-to-day aspects, including the GRAMMY U Mixtape monthly member playlist.

Reps must be full-time students pursuing a career in music, and their time in their role can range from one to three years. Reps who have completed the GRAMMY U program have gone on to pursue successful careers at SiriusXM, "Saturday Night Live," SXSW, Spotify and even the Recording Academy.
