The Ryman, The Bluebird Cafe, The Grand Ole Opry, Historic RCA Studio A and the Fisk Jubilee Singers are a few of the legends that form the heart of Music City, the artery that pumps out music that finds its roots in Nashville and grows to a global audience.

A songwriter community deeply rooted in country music, but a Chapter reach that is far beyond proximity covering pop, Americana, R&B, gospel, CCM and bluegrass among many other genres. A thriving Chapter that is home to Taylor Swift, Yola, Margo Price, Keb’ Mo’, Halestorm, The Black Keys, Robert Randolph, TobyMac, Molly Tuttle, Larkin Poe, Anthony Hamilton, Avett Brothers, Kesha, Jason Isbell and hundreds more who are thriving in the worldwide music market. Nashville is a destination for artists to record because of its close-knit musical community that has the most recording studios per capital than anywhere else in the United States. Artists from all genres visit Nashville to co-write with some of the most successful songwriters and record with some of the finest musicians in the world.

Founded over five decades ago as the Academy's fourth Chapter, the Nashville Chapter has become an institution in the Nashville music community. Best known for its annual Block Party held each spring, the Chapter provides events for its members that focus on every genre and every aspect of the creative process. Nashville's technical community involved in recording, mixing and mastering have helped create industry standards for deliverables that have been adopted around the world.

Please take a few minutes and explore not only what the Nashville Chapter is doing, but what all the Chapters have to offer in the way of professional development and opportunities for our members.
