++ EURO 2024: EAN reached new heights on Sunday evening! ++ The Spanish national football team is not the only one who broke a new record when they won the EURO 2024 final last Sunday. Our European Aviation Network (EAN) team, in partnership with Viasat, is extremely excited to report that EAN customer traffic doubled during the day of the final, and during the match itself, throughput was 800% higher than normal! Equipped with EAN technology, our English (BA) and Spanish (Iberia) airline customers enable free streaming of the final match between England and Spain to all passengers. And despite our immense joy regarding our new EAN record, we concede that being the only country to now hold four European football championship titles is also reason to celebrate 😉 #EuropeanAviationNetwork #EAN #morethanjustwifi

++ EAN is match winner ++ During the UEFA European Football Championship that is currently held, emotions are often running high. Fans don’t want to miss a second of the matches of their favorite team. The European Aviation Network (EAN) enables them to watch the matches even high up in the air on their flights due to the high-speed connectivity onboard. We saw impressive peaks in data usage especially during the matches of England and Spain on British Airways, Vueling Airlines and Iberia flights. Data throughput rates almost doubled compared to other days, and the consumption of data increased by approx. 25 %. That’s match-winning for sure! And we are pretty confident that these values will be even exceeded tonight and tomorrow night, when both Spain and England will be competing for reaching the finals. #EuropeanAviationNetwork #EAN #inflightconnectivity #morethanjustwifi #uefaeuro2024

++ Harmonizing your inflight experience! ++ Congratulations to Austrian Airlines newest fleet member OE-LPL, a beautiful Boeing 787-9, that started its long-awaited long-haul service with its inaugural flight last weekend. We‘re proud to announce that Austrian Airlines long-haul is using DT’s integrated connectivity solution across multiple IFC providers providing a harmonized ISP Portal to Austrian Airline fleets with more aircraft to come. Our harmonized ISP portal provides always the same passenger experience no matter if a passenger is flying Austrian Airlines on the short-, medium- or long-haul service – and some plans are even interoperable with other Lufthansa Group Airlines. The platform features for all passengers on the long-haul: a free messaging (full flight) and selected premium plans that can be purchased for use cases that require higher bandwidth.
