"Is AI the key to reshaping the future of finance at Deutsche Telekom? 🤔" This question was at the heart of AI@Finance, an extraordinary day filled with groundbreaking ideas, powerful presentations, and meaningful discussions. 🌟 The event brought our AI community together, inspiring us all with a vision for the future. We kicked things off with an energizing welcome from Udo Taddigs and Rainer Hoff, who shared a strategy update that set the tone for the day. Their insights laid the foundation for the exciting Big Bets presentations that followed. 🚀 One standout was the Smart Building Control project, presented by Tim Volmer and Sebastian Jörres. Their achievements over the past year showed why this initiative remains a cornerstone of our innovation portfolio. From there, teams in Forecasting & Planning around Georgios Stratigakis, Yasmin Riaz, Katja Steinert, Ruben W., Jannik Schmitz & Sven Hüschemenger showcased their impressive advancements in tackling some of the most critical challenges in our field. 📊 DTSE CEO Dr. Guillaume Maisondieu shared his bold vision for 2025, emphasizing the importance of clear change management to ensure we stay ahead of the curve. And Lorenz J. C. W. highlighted the pivotal role of high-quality data foundations in Knowledge Management—a message that resonated deeply with everyone in the room. 💡 The day also welcomed external insights: DHL’s Senior Director of Data Science, Dr. Carsten Dahremöller, CFA, shared how AI and machine learning are reshaping logistics, from predicting customer behavior to unlocking the potential of fundamental datasets. 📦 But the innovation didn’t stop there. The afternoon brought even more exciting updates: Fabian Stadler introduced the transformative "Chat with Your Data" initiative, revolutionizing how we interact with data. 🗨️ The challenges and solutions behind Germany’s Fiber Rollout were unveiled by Attila Marossy in a deep dive into managing data complexity. 🌐 One of the event's most interactive moments came during the FLT Talk with Dhananjay Mirchandani, Hannes Wittig, and Rainer Hoff, sparking energetic discussions and thought-provoking questions. 🙋♂️🙋♀️ And then came the highlight of the day: the Project of the Year competition. 🏆 Out of 9 incredible teams, Dominik Fey and Elisabeth Backes emerged victorious with their project, dCPO Front-Door, which truly exemplified the power of creativity and innovation in AI. 🎉 As we close the year, we reflect on an event filled with inspiration, collaboration, and forward-thinking ideas. Volunteering in Action: Deutsche Telekom Services Europe - Czech Republic Last week, our dedicated volunteers teamed up 🤝 with Zelen Mesta Brna (https://www.vzmb.cz/) to help refresh a local playground in the area of Spielberg Castle in Brno. 📢 Exciting Week at AI Barcamp and T Challenge in Bonn!   Our team had an incredible time last week attending the AI Barcamp and T Challenge dinner in Bonn. Joining 250 AI enthusiasts, we immersed ourselves in knowledge sharing and networking. When we joined on Tuesday the tone of the event was already set in a good way by two warm-up sessions on Monday. The second day featured 10 marketplace stalls and 18 barcamp sessions.   It was great to feel the passion and energy of participants from diverse segments and countries. We also jumped for a visit to the innovative booths of the T-Challenge focused on AI for telecommunications.   Connecting with other AI practitioners at Deutsche Telekom and attending the award-winning ceremony dinner were highlights of the week.
