1. PERSONNEL REMAINING ABOARD DURING THE TEST


MUST BE FREE FROM PHISICAL DISEASE OR PAIN
TO AVOID PROBLEMS DUE TO PRESSURIZATION.

2. OPENING A PRESSURE SEALED DOOR WHEN THE


AIRCRAFT IS FULLY OR PARTIALLY PRESSURIZED
WILL CAUSE EXPLOSIVE DECOMPRESSION, DEATH
OR INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND DAMAGE TO THE
AIRCRAFT.

PREPARATION

1. POSITION SAFETY BARRIERS AND WARNING NOTICE


PROHIBITING ACCESS TO THE WORK AREA.

WARNING: PERMIT NO PERSONNEL IN THE AREA


SURROUNDING THE AIRPLANE WHILE IT IS
PRESSURIZED. MAINTAIN INTERPHONE
COMMUNICATIONS THROUGH-OUT THE
PRESSURIZATION CHECK.

WARNING: ONE QUALIFIED MAN WILL REMAIN IN THE


AIRPLANE TO START ENGINE AND BE ABLE
TO OPERATE RAPID DEPRESSURIZATION IN
THE EVENT THAT AIRPLANE INTERNAL
PRESSURE EXCEEDS DESIRED TEST LIMIT.
PERMIT NO OTHER PERSONNEL TO REMAIN
IN THE AIRPLANE DURING PRESSURIZATION.

2. ENSURE THAT ALL DOORS AND HATCHES ARE CLOSED


AND CORRECTLY LOCKED (THROUGH VISUAL
INDICATOR).

1. ON PANEL 22VU PLACE OVBD VALVE SELECTOR


SWITCH IN FULLY CLOSED POSITION.

2.-ON PANEL 22VU PRESS ENG 2 BLEED PUSHBUTTON


SWITCH AND VERIFY THAT OFF LEGEND GOES OFF
AND XVALVE OPEN LEGEND COMES ON.
-ON MFD UPPER WINDOW, IN CABIN SD PAGE, BLEED
VALVE OF ENGINE 2 AND XFEED VALVE ARE OPENED
AND GREEN.

3. ON PANEL 4VU PUSH THE TEST BUTTON ON DIGITAL


CONTROLLER AND VERIFY THAT LANDING ELEVATION
ALTERNATIVELY SHOWS 18800/-8800.

4.- ON PANEL 22VU PRESS L AND R PACK VALVE


PUSHBUTTON SWITCHES AND VERIFY THAT OFF
LEGENDS GO OFF.
- ON MFD UPPER WINDOW, IN CABIN SD PAGE,
PACK LABELS ARE DISPLAYED IN GREEN
RECTANGLE.

5. ON PANEL 402VU(VM) THE MANUAL PRESSURIZA-


TION CONTROL KNOB TO MANUAL POSITION.

6. ON PANEL 402VU(VM) RELEASE THE MODE SELECTOR


P/B SWITCH AND VERIFY THAT THE MAN LEGEND
ON P/B IS ILLUMINATED AND ON DIGITAL
CONTROLLER NO DATA ARE SHOWN ON THE
DISPLAY.

7. ON PANEL 402VU(VM) POSITION THE MANUAL


CONTROL KNOB ON MAX DECREASE. AFTER SOME
MINUTES, ON MFD UPPER WINDOW, IN CABIN SD
PAGE, RATE OF CHANGE (VS FT/MIN) SHOWS A
VALUE BETWEEN -800 AND -1300 FT/MN.

8. ROTATE THE MANUAL CONTROL KNOB TO OBTAIN

VZ CAB.=-500 FT/MN AND, ON MFD UPPER WINDOW,


IN CABIN SD PAGE, VERIFY THAT:
- DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE INCREASES.
- CABIN ALTITUDE DECREASES.
WHEN DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE IS SLIGHTLY ABOVE
2PSI, ROTATE THE MANUAL CONTROL KNOB TO
OBTAIN VZ CAB.=0.

9. RELEASE LH AND RH PACK VALVE P/B SWITCHES


AND VERIFY THAT OFF LEGEND COMES ON AND
THE LEGEND FAULT IS OFF.
-ON MFD UPPER WINDOW, IN CABIN SD PAGE, WHITE
PACK OFF LABELS ARE DISPLAYED IN WHITE
RECTANGLE.

NOTE: THE TIME NECESSARY FOR THE A/C PRESSURE


TO FALL FROM 2 PSI TO 1 PSI HAS TO BE
HIGHER THAN 105 SEC.
IF ABOVE CANNOT BE MET CHECK FOR LEAKS
AROUND DOORS AND IN OTHER AREAS OF THE
FUSELAGE.

10. SELECT MANUAL CONTROL KNOB TO MAX INCREASE,


ON MFD UPPER WINDOW, IN CABIN SD PAGE,
VERIFY THAT :
- VS CABIN BETWEEN 1500FT/MIN - 3000FT/MIN
- CABIN ALTITUDE INCREASES
- DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE DECREASES.

11. WHEN DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE REACHES 0 PSI


PERFORM THE FOLLOWING STEPS:

A.SELECT MANUAL CONTROL KNOB TO MAN


POSITION, PRESS MODE SELECTOR P/B SWITCH
AND VERIFY THAT THE MAN LEGEND ON P/B
GOES OFF AND LANDING ELEVATION SHOWS
PREVIOUS SETTING
B.POSITION MANUAL CONTROL KNOB ON GREEN
BAND STOP
C.ON PANEL 22VU PLACE OVBD VALVE SELECTOR
SWITCH IN AUTO POSITION.

13.- RELEASE ENG 2 BLEED P/B SWITCH AND VERIFY


THAT OFF LEGEND GOES ON, FAULT LEGEND
IS OFF AND XVALVE OPEN LEGEND GOES OFF.
- ON MFD UPPER WINDOW, IN CABIN SD PAGE,
BLEED VALVE OF ENGINE 2 AND XFEED VALVE
ARE CLOSED AND WHITE, WHITE BLEED OFF
LABEL IS DISPLAYED.
