Ericsson CEO Börje Ekholm goes deeper into how this historic venture will open up networks and enable new revenue streams for the telecom industry. The new venture will be making advanced network features easily accessible through a global platform for combined network APIs.  McKinsey & Co estimates the value of network APIs over the next several years will reach USD 10-30 billion, in addition to the USD 100-300 billion that can be unlocked in additional connectivity and edge-compute revenues for network operators globally. The synergy of high-performance and programmable networks, combined with network APIs, and a vibrant ecosystem of developers, will create a powerful network effect I am excited for Ericsson to start this journey. In my session, I explored how Wavelength enables real-time HQ Video through immersive NiceDCV Pixelstreaming experiences in a Meta Quest 3 Headset by benefiting from reduction in network distance and offering predictable performance. Deploying accelerated compute instances within mobile network infrastructure offers several advantages: ✔️ Improved latency (in tens of milliseconds) ✔️ Minimal jitter for time-sensitive apps ✔️ Data processing closer to the source I even shared a comprehensive architecture leveraging CloudFormation, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and a CI/CD pipeline for seamless deployment of an XR application powered by AWS Wavelength. 👉 CHECK OUT VIDEO HERE: https://lnkd.in/ekZDkWBK

I think sometimes part of us get tangled into the daily routine, work, projects. We tend to forget the impact we are making, especially being Lithuanian we have this tendency being super humble and shy, which sometimes doesn't play well in our favour. Sometimes we get used to it so much that we don't even understand what kind of "monster" we are building or how it helps everyone arounds us.
