Creating a No & Low section on your drinks menu should be as thrilling as crafting full ABV cocktails. These beverages should focus on complexity and flavour, providing an exceptional experience for everyone, regardless of their reasons for abstaining from alcohol—be it personal, religious, or health-related. It's essential to recognise that offering a drink filled with juices, purees, and syrups is not a true alternative to alcohol. Health-conscious patrons deserve better, and as a business, you miss out on revenue when they opt for a simple soft drink that lasts all evening, leaving them with a boring, unmemorable experience. The beauty of the No & Low category is that it doesn't require much effort to create an exciting experience. Think of a refreshing low-alcohol gin and tonic or a functional spirit mixer. With the wide range of No & Low products available, you can offer innovative alternatives that cater to diverse preferences. Remember, this category is growing year on year. While it may not overtake alcoholic sales, providing these options is crucial for gaining repeat customers and, most importantly, ensuring inclusivity in social settings. Socializing should be inclusive, and so should your drinks menu. Cheers to offering an elevated, inclusive drinking experience for everyone! 🍸🥂 #NoAndLow #InclusiveDrinking #BarInnovation #CustomerExperience #DrinkResponsibly

The Ready to Drink cocktail category has continued to grow over recent years and is showing so signs of slowing. N/A cocktails are rapidly gaining share, and the latest entrants have been soft drinks - either through partnerships, or simply being ‘spiked’. This can be a dangerous space to play, and one that should be handled carefully. Read our latest Sister Mary Reflection for some tips on how to do it successfully, and responsibly. #branddevotion #brandlove #powerofart #beautyofideas #packagingdesign #branddesign #packagingstrategy https://lnkd.in/eWHVvUKF

🚀 left&ripe! Your new go-to, 4% ABV session soda that hits all the right notes! 🍋🍓 At left&ripe, our mission is to provide a locally and sustainably sourced soda (say that 5x over) …with a low-calorie twist, that tastes bloody good, it's your perfect session beverage. We intentionally craft our drinks using wonky or excess fruit and source our ingredients locally. We have noticed a gap in the UK RTD market for quality, genuine products that resonate with consumers. We wanted to be a brand with a story to tell, one that stands out from the rest. We wanted a healthier alternative to beer and high-ABV cocktails that’s tasty, refreshing, and perfect for any occasion – not just at the pub. That’s how left&ripe was born. As per The Grocer article, mindful drinking is on the rise, with more people moving away from higher ABV drinks in favour of lighter, more balanced options. Consumers are seeking beverages that allow them to enjoy longer, more controlled sessions without compromising on taste or experience. We believe we've hit the spot. Our 4% ABV session sodas are perfectly in tune with this shift, offering a delightful and responsible choice for the modern drinker, with no dreaded sugary, cocktail hangover. Is Going Out for an Alcoholic Beer or Wine Still the Future? 🥂 Last night, I discovered some nice alcohol-free gin, martini, negroni, mojito, and aperol options on a restaurant menu. It’s still hard to find so many options out there, but the market is developing as consumers looking for innovative and fancy type of drinks instead of the typical soft drinks. This $300M market is growing by 9.1% annually until 2030—why? Because health-conscious consumers are choosing better sleep, mental clarity, fewer calories, and more. 🚀 Health and longevity are the future for obvious reasons. Have you tried these types of non-alcoholic spirits already? What are your favorites? 👇 #NonAlcoholic #FutureOfDrinking #BeverageIndustry #MindfulDrinking

The last year has seen more polarisation between those seeking premium (high-quality cocktails made with top-shelf ingredients) and value (affordable cocktails that provide a satisfactory taste at a low cost) cocktails in Britain. The number in the middle ground (those who choose both) has fallen by 10 percentage points since early 2023, emphasising the importance of having a wide range of cocktail options available, both in terms of the spirits, flavour profiles and ingredients included, and in their range of pricing. Are your mixed drink strategies optimised for a hyper-competitive, complex and polarised landscape? What Not to Do ❌ Do not use salt and lime: 🍋 Although it is a common practice, using salt and lime can mask the flavors of the tequila. This custom arose with lower-quality tequilas but is unnecessary with premium tequilas. Do not freeze tequila: ❄ Freezing tequila can alter its structure and flavor. Moreover, extreme cold can hide the flavors and aromas that make tequila special. Do not drink excessively: ⛔ As with any alcoholic beverage, it is important to consume tequila in moderation. Excessive drinking not only affects your health but also prevents you from fully enjoying the experience. #tequila #TequilaConHistoria #Cheers #CelebrateWithTequila #TequilaProcess

Loving this trend! For those customers who want the sophistication of spirits without alcohol, non-alcoholic options are now more exciting than ever. Non-alcoholic spirits have grown in popularity as more consumers, particularly younger ones, choose to forego alcohol but still want to join in with friends who may choose to imbibe. Market research firm Datassential found that non-alcoholic spirits are on 2.8% of U.S. menus, up 487% over the past four years. 🌟Check out the latest trends and get inspirations for your menu here: https://lnkd.in/ds8T5Cet #Mocktails #NonAlcoholicSpirits #DrinkTrends #beverageindustry #speedofservice #colddrinks

Taste remains overwhelmingly the most important attribute that US consumers seek when choosing an alcoholic drink, our latest annual Bloomberg Intelligence survey confirms. This is followed by price, alcohol content and brand, which indicates that imbibers seek taste experimentation and welcoming quirky producer launches of new and different RTD cocktails such as Straightaway Cocktails' Bees Knees and Nitro Espresso Martini canned cocktails. Respondents cited drink portability again as a less important attribute, likely due to more normal access to restaurants since the restrictions of the pandemic. For an deeper review of other key findings, implications, and who may be the most affected by current trends, Bloomberg Professional subscribers can read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/evhGFPpN #bloombergintelligence
