Alcohol you can consume during the day! When it comes to consuming alcohol during the day, it's essential to consider moderation and responsible drinking habits. While some people may enjoy a morning or afternoon drink, it's crucial to evaluate the impact on your daily routine and overall well-being. Here are some suitable choices: 1️⃣ Wine: For daytime drinking, opt for a classic light and crisp white wine such as Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, or Pinot Grigio, or even a refreshing rosé. These wines, with their bright acidity and fruity notes, are ideal for leisurely sipping and pair perfectly with a sunny day. 2️⃣ Gin: A versatile spirit that excels in light, refreshing cocktails, gin is perfect for a classic gin and tonic with a squeeze of lime. For a fresh twist, try a gin spritz with tonic water, a dash of elderflower, and a slice of cucumber. 3️⃣ Campari: Ideal for those who appreciate a bitter edge, this spirit’s herbal and citrus notes make it a great option for classic cocktails like the Aperol Spritz or Negroni Sbagliato. Both drinks offer a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. 4️⃣ Beer: Choose a light lager or a refreshing wheat beer with citrus notes to keep things easy and enjoyable. These beers are crisp, and thirst-quenching, and pair well with a variety of foods like burgers and barbecue. These day-drinking options are ideal for soaking up the sun, offering a range of flavors to please every palate. What’s your go-to drink for a sunny afternoon? One Week of WorldClass with Tulleeho: Day 3️⃣ Cocktail Techniques: To shake or to stir? That is the question.🤔 Techniques can make or break a drink. While building your mix, it is imperative to apply the most apt method that allows the spirit to shine amidst the blend. Choosing the right technique while judging the density and consistency of ingredients, can be the defining factor between a well-made drink, or one that is completely off-balance. Breaking down some common techniques from our recent masterclass with Bhavya Verma and Ajay Nayyar: 🍹Shaken: Think Cosmopolitans, Margaritas and Daiquiris - cocktails which contain more mixers as ingredients, and feature elements such as fruit juices, dairy, egg whites, in them are generally shaken. This allows for more aeration into the drink and a balanced blend. 🍹Stirred: Think Martinis, Manhattans and Old-Fashioneds – spirit-forward cocktails are generally stirred to allow minimal aeration into the drink and ensure that the drink is not overly diluted. 🍹Layered: Layering in cocktails involves carefully playing with arrangements and straining, to inculcate the different densities of ingredients and create distinct layers in the drink. 🍹Clarified: Clarification has been a trending style in the recent times, and can simply be put together as an elevated drink with clear texture, refined flavour, and appearance. This can be achieved in many ways, the top ones being milk-washing, using agar gel, acid-washing with citric acid, malic acid, or ascorbic acid; and more. Liquor vs Liqueur💭 For those of us in the food and beverage industry, distinguishing between liquor and liqueur is essential knowledge. Here’s a concise breakdown: 🍹Liquor: These are distilled spirits with a high alcohol content, typically between 40-55% ABV (alcohol by volume). Examples include whiskey, vodka, rum, gin, tequila, and brandy. Liquors are usually enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as the base in cocktails. 🍹Liqueur: These are sweetened spirits made by infusing liquors with flavors such as fruits, herbs, spices, or nuts. Examples include Amaretto, Bailey’s Irish Cream, Grand Marnier, and Kahlua. Liqueurs generally have a lower alcohol content, typically between 15-30% ABV, and are often used as mixers in cocktails or served as digestifs. Key Differences: • Alcohol Content: Liquors have a higher ABV compared to liqueurs. • Flavor: Liquors are usually not sweetened, while liqueurs are sweet and flavored. • Usage: Liquors are the backbone of many cocktails and can be enjoyed on their own. Liqueurs add depth and flavor to cocktails and are perfect for a sweet finish to a meal. Hope this would helps in crafting the perfect drink for guests, whether they prefer a robust spirit or a sweet, flavorful treat.!! #liqours #alcohol #hospitality #liquor #uae #baruae

𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 (vs Very Good Cocktail & Fine cocktail) A good cocktail is like a reliable friend—it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’ll get the job done with style. Here’s what you need for that: Balanced Flavors – A good cocktail has a harmonious balance between its sweet, sour, bitter, and strong elements. Think of the Daiquiri (rum, lime, simple syrup)—simplicity with a punch. Quality Ingredients – Even if you’re not dropping your paycheck on top-shelf spirits, you want decent liquor. Avoid the stuff that tastes like it was distilled in a rusty bathtub. Proper Technique – You don’t need to shake every drink like you’re auditioning for Cocktail, but at least know when to stir and when to shake (hint: stir boozy cocktails like martinis, shake citrus-based drinks like margaritas). Freshness – Fresh juice, fresh herbs, fresh everything. No pre-made sour mix or flat soda from last week’s party. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱: For any cocktail, whether it’s just "good" or "fine," you need these basics: - Spirits: Vodka, gin, whiskey, rum, tequila. Start with the essentials. - Mixers: Fresh juices (lime, lemon), tonic, soda water, ginger beer. - Sweeteners: Simple syrup, honey, agave, sugar cubes. - Bitters: Angostura or Peychaud’s, at the very least. - Citrus: Lemons, limes, oranges—fresh for garnishes and juice. - Tools: Jigger (for measuring), shaker, strainer, bar spoon, muddler, ice trays. - Garnishes: Fresh herbs, citrus peels, cherries, olives. Whether you're mixing up something simple or striving for greatness, always remember that cocktails are a dance between art and precision. To be continued next week

As the spirits industry continues to evolve globally, there's one category I've seen few people talking about - aperitifs. The spirit’s landscape is in constant flux. The gin bubble may not have burst, but it has certainly shrunk considerably. Rum, the "next big thing", still waits in the wings, while tequila is making waves on the other side of the Atlantic. Meanwhile, organic spirits are having a pretty hard time, and brandy remains sitting on the shelves. To some extent, consumers are going back to basics; a decent vodka or a blended whisky in the mid-price category sell quite well. But while these shifts in the spirits market unfold, I've noticed something intriguing at recent summer BBQs. At the last three I attended, I found myself the lone G&T drinker in a sea of colourful aperitifs. Hugo, Aperol, and various Martini concoctions dominated the scene, highlighting an often-ignored trend in consumer preferences. These aperitifs, often wine-based and non-distilled, with a low alcohol content and rather sweet profile, are quietly booming. They appeal to a broad age spectrum, especially female consumers, yet they are attracting little attention in industry discussions. At Ethimex our slogan is indeed "Premium Ethanol and Spirits - Worldwide", but don't be fooled – we also deliver aperitivos in bulk! Don’t hesitate to send us your enquiries.
