🚀 Big progress for Windlift during our latest test flights! We conducted 3 static flights in our highest winds yet and followed up with 2 'tow' tests—towing the APG down the runway to simulate higher wind speeds.   Our upgraded aircraft with new pylons performed autonomously, stayed stable across a range of speeds and trims, and dynamically adjusted its flight pattern to dramatic changes in apparent wind direction. These tests provided invaluable data on controls, power output, and tether drag, giving us insights that are already fueling our next round of upgrades to generate even more power.   Check out the video for a closer look at the towed test in action! #renewables #sustainability #innovation

The market of EVs has been increasing impressively. However, driving with your EV car is not necessarily cheaper than driving a diesel or Benzin car. In my latest presentation on TaiyangNews - All About Solar, I presented the new AESOLAR "Horizon" #Carport Modules and showed that you can achieve ca. 16 times less transport cost if you use a PV-powered EV. Brazil’s electric vehicles association ABVE estimates the country will more than double its recharging infrastructure in the next two years, reaching 10,000 electric stations compared to the current 4,600. The growth is stimulating companies like VoltBras, a provider of technologies for managing the monitoring and operating of electric vehicle chargers. Last Thursday ElaadNL celebrated its 15th anniversary. Already 15 years ago, they started to break the chicken and egg situation. No one will invest in #EV when there are no #charging stations - and no one will invest in charging stations when there are no EVs. So they started with the aim to install 10.000 public charging stations across The Netherlands in 3 years time. 15 Years later we have over 165.000 public and semi public charging stations. 15 Years ago ElaadNL demanded a charging stations and a charging management system (#CPMS) without vendor lock-in. So we created together the #OCPP protocol. 15 Years later, OCPP is a de-facto world standard. Currently E-laad is an international recognized expertise center focusing on the impact of charging infrastructure on the grid, and how it can help to balance the grid. They think and work on solutions. Last Thursday they showed several of their solutions from Logistics to Integrated Home Energy management systems to ways to protect the grid via #Gridshield. It was a great event. Congratulations Onoph Caron and your team! Without you The Netherlands, but I think also the international EV market would not be where they are now, taking into account the impact of OCPP and other developments.
