भारत के प्रथम CDS, पद्म विभूषित स्मृतिशेष जनरल बिपिन रावत जी की पुण्यतिथि पर उन्हें अशेष नमन् एवं NHEV की ओर से उन्हें भावपूर्ण श्रद्धांजलि। आपका संपूर्ण कर्तव्यनिष्ठ जीवन हम सभी के लिए एक महान प्रेरणा है। जनरल बिपिन रावत का भारतीय सेना और देश के लिए योगदान बहुत महत्वपूर्ण रहा है। यहाँ उनके कुछ प्रमुख योगदान दिए गए हैं: पहले चीफ ऑफ डिफेंस स्टाफ (CDS): जनरल बिपिन रावत भारत के पहले चीफ ऑफ डिफेंस स्टाफ बने। उन्होंने 1 जनवरी 2020 को इस पद का कार्यभार संभाला। इस भूमिका में, उन्होंने सशस्त्र बलों के बीच बेहतर तालमेल और एकीकरण के लिए कई सुधार किए। भारतीय थलसेनाध्यक्ष: जनरल रावत ने 31 दिसंबर 2016 से 31 दिसंबर 2019 तक भारतीय थलसेनाध्यक्ष के रूप में सेवा की1। इस दौरान उन्होंने सेना में कई महत्वपूर्ण सुधार और नीतिगत बदलाव किए। सैन्य सेवाएँ: जनरल रावत ने 1978 में 11वीं गोरखा राइफल्स की 5वीं बटालियन से अपने करियर की शुरुआत की1। उन्होंने मिजोरम, नेफा, और कांगो में संयुक्त राष्ट्र शांति मिशन में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिकाएँ निभाईं। अग्निपथ योजना: जनरल रावत ने अग्निपथ योजना को सशस्त्र बलों में लागू करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई2। यह योजना स्वतंत्रता के बाद से सशस्त्र बलों द्वारा सबसे बड़ा मानव संसाधन परिवर्तन है। सम्मान और पुरस्कार: जनरल रावत को उनके उत्कृष्ट सेवा के लिए परम विशिष्ट सेवा पदक, उत्तम युद्ध सेवा पदक, अति विशिष्ट सेवा पदक, युद्ध सेवा पदक, सेना पदक, और विशिष्ट सेवा पदक सहित कई पुरस्कारों से सम्मानित किया गया1। जनरल रावत का योगदान भारतीय सेना और देश के लिए ही नहीं पर्यावरण के लिए भी अमूल्य रहा है। अटल जी के स्वर्णिम भारतमाला सड़क के दर्शन पर ही उन्होंने भारत के पहले इलेक्ट्रिक हाइवे NHEV - National Highways for EV की तकनीकी पहल की जिसके लिये उन्हें हमेशा याद किया जाएगा।
