🔌Belgium🔌 Belgium have been an active member of HEV TCP since 2000. Over that time, Belgium has been part of eight tasks that are now complete. They’re currently working on five active research projects, Tasks 1, 23, 43, 49 and 53. The first one that Belgium worked on was Task 7 that finished in 2005, which focused on the impact of EVs. The latest research project Belgium has signed up to work on is Task 53. This research involves looking at bidirectional charging where the electric vehicle not only takes electricity but provides electricity to power devices. These charts highlight the remarkable growth of both public and private electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in the U.S. since 2007. The number of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) charging ports has steadily increased, along with a consistent rise in EV charging station locations. Between 2018 and 2022, the number of EVSE charging ports more than doubled. In 2021 alone, the number of charging ports grew by over 60%. As of 2023, the U.S. boasts 64,641 EV charging station locations—a staggering 46,404% increase since 2007!
