Hafslund's @Fastcharge is revolutionizing truck charging with dedicated stations across the country. Hafslund AS, fully owned by Oslo municipality, is a powerhouse in the energy sector. They hold significant ownership in Norway's second-largest hydropower company, Hafslund Eco AS, and the largest district heating company, Hafslund Oslo Celsio AS. They also co-own Eidsiva Energi, which includes a 50% stake in Norway's grid company Elvia, along with investments in broadband, bio heat, and new energy sectors. The market of EVs has been increasing impressively. However, driving with your EV car is not necessarily cheaper than driving a diesel or Benzin car. In my latest presentation on TaiyangNews - All About Solar, I presented the new AESOLAR "Horizon" #Carport Modules and showed that you can achieve ca. 16 times less transport cost if you use a PV-powered EV. INCIT-EV partners GreenFlux, TotalEnergies, We Drive Solar, CIRCE - Centro Tecnológico, IVECO and Stellantis answered this question last week during the very first INCIT-EV webinar! Here are the main takeaways from the session: ➡️#Smartcharging is an effective way to reduce grid congestion without any physical grid updates. The use of the INCIT-EV smart charging #algorithm resulted in a 1 MWh shifted load in Haarlem. ➡️#Bidirectionalcharging is now a mature #technology that can provide ancillary services such as reactive compensation or voltage and frequency regulation. ➡️The #V2G technology should be introduced in commercial vehicles by 2026. However, commercial applications won’t be developed before the benefits for the EV users and the profitability of the technology are perfectly clear. Hydrogen has so many versatile applications that it encourages creative solutions! Instead of reinventing the wheel, we can make it greener. The UK Government recently conducted a trial with the MoD, using green electricity generated by GeoPura's HPU to charge their current electric fleet. This fast-charging solution could be a game-changer for remote areas where charging points are few and far between. By generating electricity from hydrogen rather than using hydrogen directly in FCEVs, we can accelerate the transition to electric vehicles without waiting for widespread adoption of new technology.
