This year marked a new era for SailGP, welcoming Rolex as the championship’s first Title Partner and securing three new Global Partners: ROLEX, Emirates, and DP World. Spain SailGP Team fought to become the new championship winners. Two new teams, Mubadala Brazil SailGP Team and Red Bull Italy, joined the league, and a record-breaking 22,000 fans attended the ITM - Independent Timber Merchants New Zealand Sail Grand Prix | Christchurch event, the largest-ever ticketed individual sailing event. Looking ahead, we’re set for our most expansive calendar to date in 2025. We continued racing for a Better Sport, celebrating our first female driver and launching the Women's Performance Camp in partnership with DP World. The Emirates Great Britain SailGP Team was crowned the new Impact League champion, and our collaboration with Youth Sport Trust brought the Impact League into schools, inspiring the next generation to get involved in sport and sustainability. Through innovation, we pushed the boundaries of what’s possible. From 5G T-Mobile capabilities at the Mubadala New York Sail Grand Prix to AI-powered people tracking in our live broadcasts, we enhanced the fan experience like never before. The new T-foils helped set a remarkable speed record of 101.98 km/h, while a cutting-edge 3-person simulator advanced athlete training. 2024 was a year where sport met spectacle as the ROLEX SailGP Championship was recognised as the fastest-growing sport in the UAE in Q1 and named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies. SailGP Après-Sail events brought energy to the water with six live music acts, while global fan engagement soared to 43.4 million, doubling awareness worldwide. A huge thank you to our teams, partners, and fans for making 2024 an unforgettable year 🌟

Last week, as an official Impact Partner to the inaugural Sport Impact Summit in Dubai, SailGP's Chief Purpose Officer Fiona Morgan and Mubadala Inspire excellence candidate Dhuha Mohammed Albeshr joined onstage to discuss social sustainability and the importance of building pathways from grassroots up to the elite level in sport. Partners and collaboration are essential to driving change and impact. Dhuha shared her experience with SailGP's community and outreach program Inspire and global partner of the program, Mubadala. And Fiona gave a first-hand account of being onsite and involved in SailGP's most recent milestone: carrying out the largest female athlete development program to date, delivered by DP World, across two days after the 2025 Season-opener last month. It was wonderful to share the stage with our Local Impact Project partner from SailGP's Abu Dhabi event last season, Goumbook's Tatiana Antonelli Abella. #SportImpactSummit #SustainabilityThroughSport #ChangeTheScore #RolexSailGPChampionship #Partnerships #collaboration #PoweredbyNature

Last week, SailGP hosted another milestone event for the global championship's 2025 Season calendar: the SailGP Women’s Performance Camp, delivered by DP World. The Dubai camp sees the fruition of the league’s largest female athlete development program to date, in terms of on-water training hours. With the support of DP World, the two-day program consisted of intensive training in key positions on three of the fleet’s identical F50 catamarans, including three bespoke practice races, and 18 female athletes taking part. SailGP’s long-term vision is to promote gender equality in leadership positions, both on and off the water, with the ambition of two female athletes per race crew in key positions by 2030. This dedicated training window is just one step towards that - fostering collaboration and skill development between male and female athletes, and helping to close the experience gap in the sport. Fiona Morgan, Chief Purpose Officer, SailGP, said: "This camp marks an important step forward in SailGP’s commitment to achieving greater gender equity in the sport. The progress made by the athletes in such a short time was nothing short of phenomenal - it’s inspiring to witness accomplished athletes coming together and driving this movement of change. The future of sailing is one where women and men will together lead the charge.” Olivia Mackay, Strategist of the Black Foils (New Zealand SailGP Team), spoke about the camp’s importance to her: "It’s the first of its kind we’ve had - supported by DP World - and to have 18 women involved is a huge step forward; two days of getting this kind of experience. I’m super excited to just get that time on the water.” Read more here 👉 https://lnkd.in/e-S9Qr43 #DPWorldxSailGP #SmartLogisticsForNewWaters #WomensPerformanceCamp
