The ITM Class of 2024 came together at The Maritime Room in Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour for an unforgettable evening. This year, we honoured three groups of graduates from our Administrator Build-Up Programme, Leadership Build-Up Programme, and Sales Rep Build-Up Programme. It was a night filled with reflection, recognition, and celebration of all the hard work and dedication that went into completing these programmes. A huge congratulations to each graduate—you’ve set a high bar and made us all incredibly proud. #wereproudofourpeople

After an incredible evening at the Co-operative Business New Zealand Awards, we’re honored to have been named a finalist for the Co-operative of the Year Award. Congratulations to FMG (Farmers Mutual Group) on their well-deserved win! At ITM, we’re more than timber and tools; we’re here to make building easier for our customers and communities across New Zealand. This recognition as a finalist celebrates our team’s hands-on commitment to supporting our trade customers with the expertise and service they count on. Thank you to our dedicated team, our partners, and especially our customers. This moment reminds us why we do what we do, and we’re more driven than ever to keep building stronger communities together.

Recently, our CEO Sara Johnson sat down with Marti Amos from The Professional Builder (TPB), to discuss women in the construction industry. In this conversation, Sara challenges outdated ideas about construction, explaining how the industry welcomes women more than most people realise. Sara goes on to talk about the incredible army of women excelling in every role across New Zealand — from tradies, QSs, project managers, and truck drivers, to sales managers, business owners, ITM owners, yardies, and even CEOs. We’re proud to celebrate the amazing women who are shaping the industry and building a stronger New Zealand every day. We are incredibly honoured to be finalists for Co-operative Business New Zealand’s Co-operative of the Year Award 2024. In a tough trading environment, this recognition is a testament to our dedication to procurement, branding, marketing, and good old-fashioned customer service. It's also a reflection of the strong culture, leadership, and organisational strength that we’ve cultivated as a team. A huge congratulations to the other finalists FMG (Farmers Mutual Group) and MG Group —it’s an absolute privilege to be recognised alongside some of the best co-operatives in New Zealand. #NZCOOP #CooperativebusinessNZAnnualAwards

A standing ovation to Geraldine ITM for backing the NZ Men’s Rafting Team when they took on the world at the International Federation World Championships in Bosnia! Much like Geraldine ITM’s proud story, the NZ Team’s journey was built on grit, hard work and never giving up. These lads juggled work, trained in their spare time and even raised the cash for their own trip. We couldn’t be more proud of Geraldine ITM and the team for flying the Kiwi flag in Bosnia. Here’s to giving it your all whether you're on the river or kicking it in business!! And a big thanks to the NZ Mens Rafting Team for the photos. 📷 Cheers.

Extreme weather has been giving our aging infrastructure a thrashing, exposing just how shaky our water, sewage and energy networks are. If you’re in the building game, we’ve all got a part to play. Solid foundations, stormwater systems, and solar panels aren’t just extras anymore - they’re essentials. So be prepared and be proactive when discussing these issues with your customers. Individually, we’re all pretty awesome. But like the A-Team, minus the bad plot lines, explosions and dodgy disguises - we work way better together. So whether you’re building a second story or its just your second week of your apprenticeship, with our team on your side, the sky’s the limit - just keep an eye on the building height.
