Want to increase your AOV Here’s how you do it… 1) Increase Your Free Shipping Threshold 🚚💸 Boost your average order value by adjusting your free shipping threshold. If you currently offer free shipping for orders over $30, consider raising it to $50. This encourages customers to add more items to their cart to qualify for free shipping, motivating them to spend more and enhancing their shopping experience. 2) Offer Complimentary Upsells and Cross-Sells Throughout Your Site 🛒✨ Strategically place upsells and cross-sells throughout your website. Encourage customers to purchase complete sets or complementary items. For example, if someone is buying a sports bra, suggest water bottles, leggings, or other sports gear. Higher CPMs = Higher ROAS? Why a high CPM is actually good for your business ↓ Most people think that high CPMs are affecting their business. Guess what? This is completely false. High CPMs may actually be a good sign. Why? Let’s talk CPMs: 1. How are CPMs calculated? CPMs derive from 4 main sources: 1. Audience 2. Placement 3. Creative  4. Page Score Audience Think of your audience in terms of supply and demand. If you for example advertise in the skin care niche, there’s a lot of similar brands that compete for the same audience. Therefore the “Base” CPM is higher from the get go. But this isn’t bad. The audience is actually more valuable. Placement The placement also impacts your CPMs. Typically a Facebook newsfeed impression has the highest CPM, and a FB Desktop Right Column a lower CPM. But the Facebook Newsfeed Impression has people who convert better. Creative Yes, your creative also has an impact on your CPM. Your creative should be entertaining and be fun for people to have on your newsfeed. The less entertaining your ad is, the less people want to see it. Facebook notices that and “punishes” you with higher CPMs to basically tell you to make ads that people want to see. Page Score If it drops to an orange or red level this is also a sign to Facebook that you’re a bad business partner to them. 2. Why CPMs don't matter First of all, there’s nothing (except one thing, more on that later) that you can do about your CPMs. There is not a specific action you can take to lower them. On top of that, you simply can’t say that lower CPMs are better. Some ads have lower CPMs because they reach a broader audience but don’t convert as well in the backend. Some ads have higher CPMs because they reacher a smaller audience but they convert super well. 3. When are your CPMs too high and what can you do about it? If your CPMs rise above $60ish on broad in the US, it may be a sign that one of two things is off Your Creative  Your Page Score Creative: Your creative shouldn’t be boring. Every ad should entertain. High CPMs can be a hint for you to create ads that are entertaining. Page Score: Your page score also has a large impact on your CPMs. If it drops to an orange or red level this is also a sign to Facebook that you’re a bad business partner to them. Could be due to various different factors e.g. Shipping Times, Product Quality etc. So, if your CPMs have risen recently check your page score. BUT with all that, keep your CPA in mind. If your CPA is profitable, then forget about your CPMs. To sum this up: 1. A high CPM often is an indicator for you reaching a valuable audience 2. Not every impression on Facebook is the same, some are worth more, some are worth less 3. The only actions you can do to improve your CPM is to: Improve your Page Score Make better creatives How does your page score look like?

How fast does it take to get SEO results? It depends. If you tip-toe in to "gauge" the temperature, it's gonna take a long time to see results. But if you jump in yelling to Google "Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention." and put some serious velocity behind your content, you're going to see results. One "hack" for cranking sales and boosting performance on Shopify: Create a bulk, wholesale, or custom order program. Here's some quick math: If your AOV is $100, but every 1,000 orders you sell a bulk order for $10,000...you just increased your AOV to $110. That single move can allow you to outspend your competitors. Which means you'll grow your business faster. You'll seize market share. And increase the value of your business. When you're driving traffic at scale, some visitors will have serious buying power. ☠ Resellers Suck 🚨 They don't care about your brand. They care about a quick profit, nothing more. Without guardrails, they: -Create ugly bundles -Induce buy-box confusion -Screw up product info -Sell outdated packing -Cause erratic pricing Stop letting them roam free. Be vigilant about who you sell your products to. Would you allow this behavior to flourish on a physical shelf? Of course, you wouldn't. My advice? BOOT THEM ALL. You and only you should be selling your products. We have grown Oma's Pride by almost 40% in 10 months without spending any money. Disclaimer: “without spending any money” means I only have a 1% of revenue marketing budget. In my past I helped grow one DTC ammo company to $200M/yr without the ability to place ads on Google, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc. I also helped build and start up a DTC ammo company from the ground up and made over $5M within the first 6 months. Before all of that I built and ran my own wedding photography company where I became one of the first wedding photographers in industry history to offer same day edit slideshows during receptions. Let’s just say my path has been anything but ordinary. Jimmy Kim said it best during our last ASOM Pod episode.. “you like working in hard industries, don’t you?” Yes, yes I do! So what’s the secret? I really wish I could tell you, but here’s what I have learned: 1) Organic social media is the most underutilized and underappreciated form of growth 99% of brands don’t take advantage of. Most spend all time, effort, and energy on paid because it’s the only thing investors or board members can track. It’s very hard to convince dumb people in suits that organic social can have a superior impact on growth. 2) Your current customers are where all the money is. 97.5% of brands (made that statistic up) don’t realize how much money they are leaving on the table with their current customer base. These are people who already love you, your product, and are currently buying from you! Get them to buy more!! Seems simple right? That’s because it is. 3) Engagement is 100x more important than impressions and views. I’ve unlocked the secret to engagement in regards to social, email, and SMS. It’s a secret I’m willing to share, just send me a DM. 4) Subscriptions and/or memberships are the key to everything. I don’t care what you sell, you have the ability to launch a subscription and/or membership. During my DTC ammo days we ripped an Amazon Prime style membership which gave customers 8% off their ammo purchases and free shipping on all their orders. It brought in tens of millions of dollars that weren’t there before. That alone paid for all employee salaries, insurance, and operating costs for the entire company. 5) Solve pain points and cut dead sku sets. Stop creating new products thinking it’ll automatically bring in more money. Solve customer pain points and cut dead sku sets first. I can keep going on and on here (maybe I’ll do a blog article in more detail), but I’ll leave you with this: Stop over complicating growth plans. Be authentic, trust organic media and content, focus on engagement and not views, squeeze your current customers (respectfully), create a subscription and/or membership, and solve pain points! That’s all I have for now, I gotta go. The Door Dash Driver just called and he can’t find my house 🙄
