2024 has been a huge year for Nukon, as we worked with clients to deliver ground-breaking projects, solved complex problems and celebrated our 10th year of operation. When a mining client came to Nukon wanting to improve asset performance, their challenge was the limited visibility and gaps between their analytics and workflow systems. This made it hard to keep track of anomalies raised by the analytics system and to convert those into actionable items, which impacted predictive maintenance times and asset performance. Nukon worked with the client to deliver a streamlined system that performs detailed and optimised analytics, and enhanced crusher reporting, converted into actionable items. We are thrilled to have been named the winner of the Ag-Tech and Digital category at the Wine Industry Impact Award dinner last week, for our work with Treasury Wine Estates. It was wonderful to hear the judge's comments read out as the announcement was made, particularly to hear the project described as "one of the most phenomenal implementations of hard engineering and digital integration..." and "an innovative development in automation for the wine sector, with few comparable examples worldwide." Nukon is greatly excited to have been named a finalist in the Agtech and Digital category of the Wine Industry Impact Awards for 2024. Nukon partnered with Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) and its automation suppliers to deliver a digitalisation and end-to-end automated Barrel Management System - a first in the global wine industry. This transformed a number of traditional winemaking processes at TWE’s Barossa Valley facility into a highly efficient, sustainable, and data-driven operation.

Nukon is proud to have been involved in a ground-breaking collaboration to move the industry further towards decarbonisation. Working in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and members of the Electric Mine Consortium, Nukon provided a data lake for all suppliers to contribute their electrification-related datasets. This enabled the analysis of electric vehicle usage behaviours and direct comparisons with existing diesel fleet in terms such as availability and utilisation. This supported the 'virtual trial' objective of the consortium. Following several years of work, the final report is now available, covering topics such as: ⚡ The business case for electric mines ⚡ Decarbonisation roadmaps, and ⚡ Consolidated learnings.
