Over the last 12 months we have been doing some interesting research into how poor data quality and systems integrations hold back social housing organisations from serving their residents. We are now helping to build a community of social housing providers and housing technology suppliers to help address issues around how to integrate systems, how to implement new ones, and how to harness data to empower organisations instead of causing them frustration. Housemark presented at Housing 24 on their recent Tenant Satisfaction survey. For the 5th consecutive year satisfaction is down, from over 80% at the start, to now 69%. There is a real need for the sector to address this, using the information they hold on customers to enhance the services they offer them. As the Ombudsman has said ‘Better use of data is the closest thing the sector has to a silver bullit’.
