We’re excited to have wrapped up the cohort 4 of our Sourcing Camp! For 6 weeks, we had learning sessions, practical sessions, mastermind groups, a mid-cohort social, and a capstone project. Participants in this cohort were a mix of students, recent graduates and experienced recruiters/HR professionals. We loved the dedication throughout and the learning opportunity holding this camp offers even us as a team. Sourcing is one of those niche skills you don’t really pick up in school, or even most HR roles. Which is why many people stumble into it by chance. By running this camp, we wanted to make it easier to find and grow the right people. Even if being a talent sourcer isn't a path you want to pursue, the skills picked up are transferrable to other areas like business development, sales and job search. Big thanks to everyone for being part of this!🎉 Want to know when next we’re recruiting? Join the waitlist here: https://tally.so/r/mY4VWz

Every year, we ask current students how they want to engage with employers. We use this data to explore how employers can tweak their hiring practices to more effectively catch students’ attention and make great hires. This year, we found that: - 95% of students rate “real, paid work experience” as their preferred method of engagement with employers - 64% began thinking about career plans before sophomore year, creating a window for employers to get in front of students and build relationships earlier on - Only 29% feel that the traditional interview process allows them to effectively share their story and strengths with employers - Only 25% prioritize exploring careers that are unrelated to their college major, indicating that many students do not venture beyond familiar industries So what should you do or change in your strategy to attract and engage the highest volume and quality of early-career talent? Join on May 6 at 12pm CDT for State of Campus Recruiting webinar to find out! Our team will cover key takeaways for employers and career service professionals on how to use the student sentiment data to improve recruiting outcomes. Attendees will also receive a copy of the full report. 🔗 Save your seat here: https://lnkd.in/dKnRzi4 #CampusRecruiting #TalentAcquisition #HiringTrends #EarlyCareer #StudentEngagement #CareerDevelopment #RecruitmentStrategies #EmployerBranding #HRData #FutureOfWork

Recent research reveals that nearly half of employers are dropping college degree requirements for some of their roles, and nearly three-quarters of organizations are moving to skills-based hiring, which is based on skills, capabilities and talent. If your organization is making a shift in how you hire and source, you need to be sure that you're attracting the right candidates.
