Register here: https://lnkd.in/ecuEmiTw Description: How do students want to engage with employers? Whether you work for a college supporting students' career development or a company wanting to hire the best early-career talent, this question is vital. Who better to answer it than the students themselves! During this panel discussion, you’ll hear directly from the students on what’s getting through the noise? What are their goals in the recruiting process? What makes them show up to recruiting events? And even what they think of your swag.

Every year, we ask current students how they want to engage with employers. We use this data to explore how employers can tweak their hiring practices to more effectively catch students’ attention and make great hires. This year, we found that: - 95% of students rate “real, paid work experience” as their preferred method of engagement with employers - 64% began thinking about career plans before sophomore year, creating a window for employers to get in front of students and build relationships earlier on - Only 29% feel that the traditional interview process allows them to effectively share their story and strengths with employers - Only 25% prioritize exploring careers that are unrelated to their college major, indicating that many students do not venture beyond familiar industries So what should you do or change in your strategy to attract and engage the highest volume and quality of early-career talent? Join on May 6 at 12pm CDT for State of Campus Recruiting webinar to find out! Our team will cover key takeaways for employers and career service professionals on how to use the student sentiment data to improve recruiting outcomes. Attendees will also receive a copy of the full report. 🔗 Save your seat here: https://lnkd.in/dKnRzi4 #CampusRecruiting #TalentAcquisition #HiringTrends #EarlyCareer #StudentEngagement #CareerDevelopment #RecruitmentStrategies #EmployerBranding #HRData #FutureOfWork

Food for thought (University vs Industry) There are lots of different ways to connect students and businesses. The more opportunities that you offer students to do so, the greater their chances of employment at the end of their course. This increase’s your university’s brand, as well as employment statistics, which helps to attract the best students each year. Connecting businesses to students also saves businesses time and money. It saves them having the shortlist hundreds of candidates to find the most qualified, as the most qualified are already right in front of them. They can then use this to pick their new hire based on how we’ll they’ll fit into the company, their attitude, and their prospects.
