Amazon is taking their advertising tactics to drive more advertising profits to new levels. This is wrong for so many reasons. But I will highlight 3 obvious reasons. 1. They hide the text to bump up ads. 2. The ads are basically at the door steps of the product showcased on the detail page. 3. It creates a clumsy and confusing experience for their customer (But who really gives a flying... as long as Amazon profits) *Special note see how the Amazon PVL label product is right below? Again - this helps Amazons profits and hurts brands big time. ** Is it me or are the ads LARGER?

When should you consider starting Amazon DSP? There isn't a black-and-white answer, but you should ask yourself the following questions before getting started: 1. Have you scaled sponsored spend significantly on all ad types (sponsored products, sponsored brands, and sponsored display)? If you haven't scaled up sponsored, do that first. You'll get a much better return on your investment. 2. Are you spending a significant amount on SD with average performance or better? Amazon DSP is essentially SD on super steroids. You should be using SD to start and have a general idea of what works and what doesn't. 3. Are you seeking to increase market share and acquire new-to-brand customers? This is what DSP is really for. 4. Do you have a core group of top-selling products that would benefit from a lot more traffic? If not, hold off on DSP for a bit. Unless you are a household name, DSP likely won't perform well on products with average ratings or that aren't in a strong position in the category. 5. Is your inventory situation in a good place? If not, forget about DSP. What am I missing? P.S. This list is for endemic advertising. The criteria for non-endemic ads are completely different. #amazonadvertising #amazonads #amazonagency

Ads can help your product rank higher on Amazon, but there's a trick! Here's the deal: Amazon cares how many people buy your stuff after searching with a certain word. Even if those sales come from ads, it counts! More sales = higher ranking. Sounds good, right? But hold on! It's not magic: If people click your ad but don't buy your product, it doesn't help. If your competitor makes more sales (even without ads), they might still outrank you. Ads can get expensive. If the cost is too high, it might not be worth it. So what can you do? Find words that get people to buy your stuff, and make sure the ads aren't too pricey. Remember, ads just bring people to your product. It's still gotta be good enough to make them want to buy it!
