It takes motivation and a little push to get back on track. We've all been there – that two-day gym break that turns into weeks (or months!). This year has flown by, and as we approach the halfway mark, I can't help but feel a sense of missed opportunity. 𝑳𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒑𝒉𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒂𝒍 – Published a book Delivered presentations at prestigious institutions Trained over 100 small business owners and even I received a "Personal Best" award from my CEO! 🏆 𝑯𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓, 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒍𝒚 𝒅𝒆𝒗𝒐𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐… 4 unwanted kgs of weight 😯 Hair loss (not the good kind!) 😥 Radio silence on LinkedIn 🤐 Unnecessary stress So, I took a step back to reflect. 𝑴𝒚 𝑪𝑬𝑶 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒆𝒎𝒑𝒉𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆. Inspired by his advice, I woke up early, following my colleagues' playful stabs about "𝑩𝒓𝒂𝒉𝒎𝒂 𝑴𝒖𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒂" (𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒆-𝒅𝒂𝒘𝒏 𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔). During this quiet reflection, 𝑰 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔: I finished insightful books like Founder Brand by Dave Gerhardt, Challenger Sales by Matt Dixon, The Ultimate Sales Machine by Chet Holmes, and The Road to Revenue by Avinash Saurabh. I connected with inspiring leaders on YouTube and podcasts. I met with several small business owners, discussing their businesses. One conversation stood out: a founder with impressive technical expertise but lacking sales knowledge. During a networking dinner, we discussed building a sales process and team. Imagine being offered a "Free Luxurious Steak Dinner" But after you already ate a huge meal. I wouldn't take it. I'd be too full to eat more. This is the problem with most coaches on LinkedIn. They're selling to an audience that doesn't have the problems they solve. Imagine being a high performance coach who helps CEOs manage their stress. If you go on LinkedIn and just add CEOs as connections, You will get rejected non-stop. Instead, Find communities, groups, and places where your ideal buyers are openly talking about their problems. You can easily go in there and start adding value. That value will lead to quicker buyers. Trust me when I say this: It is much easier to add value to those that are receptive. Make this your motive going into this week. It'll be the most profitable thing you can do.

“Can you just tell me the price?” I hear this question a lot during my group coaching meetings. A seller recently asked: “Sometimes, I get buyers requesting a demo, and when they show up, they immediately just want to talk about price.” “I’m happy to tell them the price, but how do I reframe the conversation to get to value?” Here’s how I handle it: Step 1: Meet them where they stand. Acknowledge that price is their top concern. Don’t argue with them about it—it’ll only lead to pushback. A simple, “I get it, pricing is important,” helps keep things on track. ----- Step 2: Ask for permission. Use a simple ask: “Can I ask a hard question?” Most buyers will say yes when you ask for permission, but if you jump straight to value-based questions, you risk losing them early. ----- Step 3: Position the value conversation as just 10 minutes. Most buyers will agree to a 10-minute value conversation before talking price if they know you’ll deliver what they want afterward. Make it low-commitment and deliver on it. Don’t bait-and-switch them into 30 minutes of discovery. They’ll never come back if you do. My little Razzle – by name and nature! One of the more challenging things that I've experienced with Razzle has been his attention-seeking and attempting tug-of-war with his lead while I'm at my co-working space in face-to-face meetings or in a cafe or networking. The advice that I was given was to have him on the lead at home, but that only led him to try to razzle at home. I tried catching him when he settled and rewarding that behaviour. I tried randomly giving him treats when he was in a calm state by my side. I tried other strategies, but nothing seemed to work. Then last week... I got him to "wait". He knows this command well. It's basically a holding call. Whatever he wants to do, he gets to do it when I say "ok". So I started training him while I was cooking and making breakfast to "wait" and it went from 5 minutes, to 7 minutes to 10 minutes to 15 minutes and would give him the "ok" to break his wait and he took to it like a little champion. Within two days... my smart little man turned a corner and the next three meetings I went to, he just waited when I asked him. For some reason, he just "got" this one. Now as with all my posts about Razzle this isn't about my dog-training abilities. It's about trying different strategies to get the desired outcome. You see as with leading people, one strategy doesn't work the same way for all people all the time. As humans, we have different drivers, motivations and ways that we work and, more importantly, work with others. So often I hear leaders getting frustrated because the people around them aren't changing. However, my approach is very much about what the leader can change and adapt to communicate better and get a better result. So if you're leading a team and you're not getting the results you want, try a different strategy. If that doesn't work, try another one.
