𝐌𝐲 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 Hey Everyone, It's been a while since I've posted on LinkedIn. As many of you know, restarting something you do regularly can be tough. It takes motivation and a little push to get back on track. We've all been there – that two-day gym break that turns into weeks (or months!). This year has flown by, and as we approach the halfway mark, I can't help but feel a sense of missed opportunity. 𝑳𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒑𝒉𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒂𝒍 – Published a book Delivered presentations at prestigious institutions Trained over 100 small business owners and even I received a "Personal Best" award from my CEO! 🏆 𝑯𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓, 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒍𝒚 𝒅𝒆𝒗𝒐𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐… 4 unwanted kgs of weight 😯 Hair loss (not the good kind!) 😥 Radio silence on LinkedIn 🤐 Unnecessary stress So, I took a step back to reflect. 𝑴𝒚 𝑪𝑬𝑶 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒆𝒎𝒑𝒉𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆. Inspired by his advice, I woke up early, following my colleagues' playful stabs about "𝑩𝒓𝒂𝒉𝒎𝒂 𝑴𝒖𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒂" (𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒆-𝒅𝒂𝒘𝒏 𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔). During this quiet reflection, 𝑰 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔: I finished insightful books like Founder Brand by Dave Gerhardt, Challenger Sales by Matt Dixon, The Ultimate Sales Machine by Chet Holmes, and The Road to Revenue by Avinash Saurabh. I connected with inspiring leaders on YouTube and podcasts. I met with several small business owners, discussing their businesses. One conversation stood out: a founder with impressive technical expertise but lacking sales knowledge. During a networking dinner, we discussed building a sales process and team. I want you to stop thinking about HOW you’re going to grow your sales or reach your goals and instead, I want you to ask yourself: WHO do I need to help me? Who do I need to hire? Who can I reach out to for sound advice, mentorship? Who do I need to be around more? Who can I ask to partner with? Who must I get on the team? Who is the right person to get us there? If you’re serious about your future, the impact you want to make and the money you want to make, you’ve got to make investments into WHO - now how. Most often, it’s a financial investment. And interestingly enough, when you make it, the breakthrough has begun. There’s something powerful about betting on yourself and putting skin in the game. It’s as if that decision has shown your commitment and your commitment is what the world was waiting for. But here’s another thing to think about… What would that WHO value that you could offer, that would be HECK YES for them? What are you willing to GIVE in order to get what you need from that WHO? What they need might not be financial… They might value something else you can offer. Bottom line, don’t get stuck on HOW. Start thinking about WHO. Go ALL IN ON YOU!!!! 💡 The Power of Knowing Your Team’s Colors 💡 I had the most eye-opening experience yesterday at the Chauffeur Driven Magazine & Trade Show fall show with Nicole R. Banks, diving deep into understanding personality types through her color system. 👏 As a leader, I’ve always believed that knowing how your team communicates and makes decisions is the key to driving success. My team is a mix of Reds, Blues, Yellows, and Greens—and trust me, as a Red (🙋♀️ hello, goal-driven and control-focused!), I’ve had to learn how to adapt my style to connect with each of them in the way they need. But the most unexpected takeaway? 🤯 When we applied these concepts to our personal lives, there was a lot of chatter about whether two “Reds”—natural drivers—can succeed in a relationship. Spoiler alert: You CAN. I’m living proof. My partner and I are both Reds, and we’ve found success by being intentional in how we approach our relationship, just like we do in business: 🔥 Clear job duties — No complaints if one of us takes charge of something. 🔥 Radical transparency — No secrets, no pretending. We only move forward when we’re both on the same page. 🔥 Weekly goal setting — Yep, we meet weekly (it’s literally in the calendar) to align on finances, goals, family, and growth. 🔥 Support, no silos — Our businesses are separate, but we don’t play the “this is mine, that’s yours” game. Wins for one are wins for the team. 🔥 Intentional downtime — Business success doesn’t matter if you’re not showing up for your family. We schedule time together and with our kids. 👉 Bottom line: If you’re running a team, a business, or even just your household, understanding personality types is a game changer. You can’t screw it up . is what one of my coaches told me as I was sharing a few things about my business when I was about to hit my next income level (truth was I felt like I had screwed things up, because it wasn’t happening “fast enough”) how I thought I undercharged a specific client & gave too much how I thought I needed some specific external validation or to include more in my offerings in order to raise my prices how I thought my messaging & marketing needed to be more magnetic and specific in order to convert 6 figure clients how I thought I needed to have all of my offers figured out before I took action, shared/sold them how I thought I needed to upgrade my branding, website & social media before I pitched myself to the speaking event, big consulting opportunity & well known coaching client 👉🏻the truth is feelings aren’t facts; your thoughts, behaviors & beliefs can be rewired 👉🏻& while YES you are always evolving & growing, certain things will be required for an upgrade & elevation 👉🏻there are certain “short cuts” & expertise others have found & can be used but how will YOU create your masterpiece? The Day I Almost Quit Coaching… 🎯 (And What I Learned About Attracting Clients)... I remember sitting at my desk, staring at my empty calendar. No clients booked, no messages, and definitely no sales. 😞.... I was on the verge of giving up... That’s when I got a message from an old client. It simply read: “Hey, I just wanted to thank you. That session we had last year changed everything for me.” 💬 It was a tiny spark, but it reminded me why I started coaching in the first place. But here’s the truth: even with the passion, I was still struggling to find clients consistently. So, I decided to make a change. I dove deep into LinkedIn, not just as a platform, but as a REAL way to connect. Here’s what I did differently: 1. I Shared My Real Story (The Good, Bad, and Ugly) Instead of polished, picture-perfect posts, I got real. I shared my journey, my wins, my losses, and everything in between. And guess what? People started to relate. 2. I Showed Up Consistently (Even When It Was Quiet) There were days when I’d post and hear crickets. 🦗 But I kept going. Slowly, people noticed. Consistency builds trust—it’s as simple as that. 3. I Gave Value First, Always I stopped selling and started serving. Free tips, insights, quick wins—I gave without asking. And slowly, the messages started rolling in: “Can we work together?” 4. 💡 If It’s Taking Too Long to Close the Sale, This Could Be Why... Have you ever felt stuck in a sales process that drags on forever? It can be so frustrating—especially when you know you can help your potential client solve their problem. But here’s the truth: if it's taking too long to close the sales it's likely because we haven't created strong enough URGENCY. If URGENCY isn’t part of the conversation, indecision will take its place. ✨ Here’s what works: During the discovery call with your potential client ask questions that gently open their heart to the weight of their current challenge they are facing. Ask Questions like: 1 What is the urgent challenge you're trying to solve when it comes to "X" ? ("x" is aligned with your offer)? (Show concern. Be genuine. This moves them from logical thinking and into emotion.) 2 Why is solving this problem so important to you right now? Why not just wait? (This helps them realize why taking action matters today.) 3 What’s the worst thing that could happen if nothing changes in the next 30 days/60 days? (This shines a light on what’s at stake and creates clarity.) When you create urgency, it’s not about manipulation. It’s about serving with integrity—helping someone see how their life could transform when they take action. When you approach sales with this kind of care and faith, you become a trusted guide in their journey. 🤝 Remember, God has placed you in this role for a purpose. Too often we feel stuck >> Unsure of whether to go forward into the unknown >> Stay still where it is safe >> Or retreat so we can lick our wounds, feel sorry for ourselves, or worse still -check out My suggestion is to do something different STEP 1️⃣ Start from the past Go back in time - pick a date And capture what it is you have done ⭐ How you have grown ⭐ What you have actually achieved ⭐ Who you have helped ⭐ Where you have gone ⭐ When you have felt awesome And sit there for a while 🏆 It need not be accolades and awards you've received 💸 It need not be money you've earned ⛰️ It need not be mountains you have climbed or marathons you've completed It may simply be that you have got to here the best way you've known how And we're glad you have So what did you say the reason was you are stuck, again? STEP 2️⃣ Who can you share that stuckness with? There will be someone If you are vulnerable enough to ask for help >> Is it an introduction you need >> Is it a strategy you need >> Is it a vent you need Needing something is one thing Wanting something is stronger STEP 3️⃣ - What do you really want?
